Excellent location and staff. Very close to train, restaurants and Normandy beaches. The host is a famous French football player who was probably the best defenseman ever to play the game! Fantastic home made breakfast. Lots of WWII history!

Eric, the owner, is such a generous host. The hotel is such a convenient location for touring Normandy. Eric is an wonderful host. We look forward to our next visit!!! The two gentlemen that run the hotel are so friendly and helpful! Even before our trip had begun, they were quick and helpful through email. The hotel is in the center of everything. It's about a 15 minute walk from the train station; the meeting point for DDay and MSM tours are right out the backdoor. There's a grocery store...

My cousin and I stayed here for two nights during a recent tour of Normandy. It's not often I give five stars to a three-star hotel but The Churchill deserves every accolade, starting from when I first contacted them about arranging tours. Daniel responded to every inquiry in a very timely manner and explained what was possible. (We did a...

Our stay at Hotel Churchill was absolutely amazing. We loved the charm of the old hotel and the WWII memorabilia scattered about. The age of the hotel was part of its amazing charm. The staff was so helpful and friendly to 3 non French speaking people. Every day we were welcomed back and asked about our day. Each night they...

The Churchill Hotel is a small city-centre establishment built around a courtyard with a public thoroughfare across. The hotel's theme is Winston Churchill, the D-Day landings and the Allied offensive to liberate France in 1944. The decor is in keeping with this retro theme but the amenities are generally of a good modern standard. The main attractions of the city...

We are a family of five from San Francisco and had a most lovely stay at the Hotel Churchill. The owner is so nice and personally accommodating and we had the most lovely and practical of rooms. We wish we could have stayed longer. The location is also perfect for visiting the historical sites around Normandy. And the town of...

Perfect accommodation in nice central location but in a quite small backstreet. It as a typical old fashion style construction that is in a really nice shape but clean and steady. The staff is welcoming and nice!

My sister and I traveled via train from Paris to Bayeux on November 2, 2016 for a two-night stay at The Hotel Churchill. The hotel owners were so friendly and very kind. The hotel itself was quiet, luxurious and very conveniently located for touring options to Mount St. Michel, the D-day landing sites and the American Cemetery. We found these...

We chose Hotel Churchill because this would be our first night in Europe and the charm of Bayeux was alluring. We were not disappointed. The hotel is quaint and full of history. You can use either one of two entrances/exits, one planting your firmly on what must be the main street of Bayeux with it's charming cafes and shops. Walking...
