Helpful, accommodating welcome; generously tolerant of my good intentions to speak French but staff beautifully fluent in English. Extremely comfortable spacious room with modern bath (tub & shower), dbl sinks and separate toilet. Strong wifi. Churchill helped w/dinner reservations, a major plus as we arrived early evening. The hotel also has small bar which we enjoyed after dinner out. One... More

This hotel is entirely in keeping with the town of Bayeux. It is quaint, family run, rustic, friendly, incredibly helpful and a bit of a treat. If you are into Novotels/Ibis this may not be for you. If you appreciate life when it was slower and less frantic, this may suit. Rooms are smallish but things work, breakfast is good... More

We spent two night nights at The Churchill. We had a ground floor room that had seen better days with a smell of mold clinging to the bathroom. The room was small, the wooden floor of indeterminate age and cleanliness, though the bed was comfortable. The hotel is centrally located with two entrances, one close to the Bayeux Tapestry, one... We spent 4 nights in Bayeux and really enjoyed the town and area. It is a small, quaint town and there are several centrally located hotel facilities. We spent 3 nights at the Churchill after one night at Tardif Noble Guesthouse and wished we had stayed at Tardif. The Churchill is clean and located in the town center with 4... More

We stayed at this centrally located hotel for three nights. The front desk staff went out of their way to recommend activities, make reservations for dinnner, supply us with a loaner adapter for charging my iPad, etc. Agathe is a jewel!

We stayed here for 4 nights recently and enjoyed it very much. The hotel is located so centrally it would be hard to better it - right in the old town centre, and very close to many restaurants and to the very nice, very helpful tourist office. The hotel is old but that is part of its charm. The rooms... More

Perfect location in a beautiful town. Easy to walk to the many restaurants and nearby historic areas. Staff @ the hotel were both friendly and helpful with information and advice. I would stay there again when in the area.

Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Can't beat the location in Bayeux -- it's right in the heart of town and yet only a short walk from the train station. We had a room that slept 4 and it was perfect for our family. However, I can only give it a "very good" rather than "excellent" because breakfast was overpriced... More

We stayed 3 nights. We were upgraded to a larger room at no additional cost--very nice! Really needed the A/C because of the hot weather. Second (U.S. third) floor room looked out onto the pedestrian street. It was quiet (except for a couple of rowdy cafe patrons on the weekend) and private. Large bathroom with good water pressure and hot... More

Dear Sammycat123, thank you for this nice review. We do our best to fullfil our guest's needs and we are glad to know that you really enjoyed your time among us. About the lift, we can't put one since our building was built in the 1850's and, as you surely noticed, is a real maze ! But our front desk... More

What a wonderful quaint hotel with an exceptional staff. We took a tour to Bayeux that picked us up at the train station so we couldn't check in to the hotel until our return. No problem for the hotel. On checking in after a long day out, the hotel staff not only recommended a great bistro and wine "cave", he... More
