Perfect location in a beautiful town. Easy to walk to the many restaurants and nearby historic areas. Staff @ the hotel were both friendly and helpful with information and advice. I would stay there again when in the area.

Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Can't beat the location in Bayeux -- it's right in the heart of town and yet only a short walk from the train station. We had a room that slept 4 and it was perfect for our family. However, I can only give it a "very good" rather than "excellent" because breakfast was overpriced...

We stayed 3 nights. We were upgraded to a larger room at no additional cost--very nice! Really needed the A/C because of the hot weather. Second (U.S. third) floor room looked out onto the pedestrian street. It was quiet (except for a couple of rowdy cafe patrons on the weekend) and private. Large bathroom with good water pressure and hot...

Dear Sammycat123, thank you for this nice review. We do our best to fullfil our guest's needs and we are glad to know that you really enjoyed your time among us. About the lift, we can't put one since our building was built in the 1850's and, as you surely noticed, is a real maze ! But our front desk...

What a wonderful quaint hotel with an exceptional staff. We took a tour to Bayeux that picked us up at the train station so we couldn't check in to the hotel until our return. No problem for the hotel. On checking in after a long day out, the hotel staff not only recommended a great bistro and wine "cave", he...

Grateful for the air conditioning with the hot weather, the rooms were quaint although very small. The bathroom was particularly clean which was appreciated. Breakfast was presented on the tables in an inviting way with lots of colour and fresh foods. Thank you. The location couldn't have been better.

Very comfortable, gracious small hotel. The weather was quite warm and we were happy the AC worked well! It's location was convenient to all the sights and many good restaurants. Breakfast was quite nice with the Normandy specialty - apples - served several ways. The staff was professional and anxious to make our stay pleasant. Highly recommend!

My wife and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary with a trip to a few destinations in France. One of those was Bayeux to visit Mt. St Michel and the D-Day beaches. We made the Churchill our home base for 2 days and are very glad we did! The property is very quaint but still has very modern amenities. Our...

We stayed at the Churchill for our first of 4 nights because our other hotel was unavailable. It had great historical atmosphere and friendly accommodating staff. But if tight space is an issue for you this would not be a great choice - the room was the size of a postage stamp, almost could not fit in shower.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice, clean, comfortable room. Hotel is located close to everything. Decorated with lots of WW2 pictures and memorabilia, hallways are like a little museum. We also used their shuttle service to visit Mount Saint-Michel which they discount for hotel guests

Technically, everything is close by in Bayeux, but the Churchill is located right off the main restaurant strip, three minutes' walk from the Tapestry, three minutes' walk from the cathedral, and four minutes' walk from the best restaurant in town - the Moulin de la Galette. Plus, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the front desk staff is super friendly...
