The location was perfect. We didn't realize till we arrived how convenient having parking close by would be. The town of Bayeux is very quaint, the Tapestry and Basilica were an easy walk from the hotel. Also very close and convenient were many good restaurants. We spent 3 nights making a trip to Omaha beach and other battle sites one...

Over the past few weeks my wife and I have been in France visiting several locations along the Normandy coast that my father was at during WWII. We used the Hotel Churchill as a base for several days. The staff at the hotel was just wonderful. They are friendly and helpful in every aspect. During the evenings guest gather in...

Centrally located in the ultimately quaint town of Bayeux, this hotel is run by true professionals. Helpful to the nth degree, willing to assist in any conceivable way whether it be with a restaurant recommendation or tour suggestion. The rooms are adequate and relatively modern for a medieval town. Definitely the place to stay if touring the Normandy battle sites.

This was our second stay at the Churchill Hotel and our third visit to the Normandy beaches. Again we found the staff at the hotel to be friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean but this time we requested a superior room to get a little more space. There is no elevator so carrying luggage to the second...

For location, you cannot do any better. We were taking a 2 day tour of Normandy and the tours meet in the square right outside the back door. We would eat breakfast at the hotel and stroll out the back door to meet our guide. The tapestry and church, as well as shops and restaurants, are an easy walk from...

Spent 2 nights in April touring the local area and Normandy sights. Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The rooms clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a continental breakfast which was sufficient for what we needed. The hotel location is in the center of town and right next door to where many of the D-Day tours start from. The...

Clean comfortable hotel. Parking location confusing. Likely thought-to-be-charming older man at desk upon check-in gave a greeting and hotel details speech to us AND another entirely unrelated man at once to save himself time - I have never ever seen a reception desk person do such a thing and I found it pretty embarrassing, as seemingly did the other man....

Hotel Churchill is very convenient and a cute place to stay. The rooms are small (welcome to Europe), but are very clean and the bathrooms have are modern with a normal shower. The staff was very helpful, particularly for English speakers, and gave great recommendations for meals. Parking is limited. The breakfast is reasonable and quite good. Be sure to...

They stay here was fantastic, we were in town to do a Juno Beach Tour. Rooms are very charming and "cute", comfortable beds, plenty of room, up to date bathrooms. Had no complaints. The staff was very helpful, and very polite. The hotel is in a fantastic location with shops and great places to eat just out the front door!...

Overall the Churchill is a good hotel. The staff was nice and location is terrific--in the heart of Bayeux. The hotel is really "cute" and the lobby is a nice place to relax after a day of touring. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. And we loved the location near many great places to eat and next door...
