We, family of four including two teens, stayed here for one night in order to tour the D-Day sites. We had friendly communications by email in booking the hotel and follow up questions. We arrived about 6 p.m. and the person who checked us in seemed to know our name when we walked in (perhaps we were the last to...

This is a lovely hotel with charming staff in a perfect location for tours to the D-Day beaches plus the sites in Bayeux. It is also reasonably priced, with decent sized rooms, especially compared to Paris. If I had to do it over again, we'd stay an extra day and take the hotel's shuttle to Mont St. Michel. The rooms...

This hotel is literally right in the center of Bayeux. A short walkway led you to the main street. The Bayeux Tapestry and Cathedral are about a three minute walk. There is a tourist office about a minute away and a supermarket right next door; there are many restaurants nearby within walking distance, it just depends on what you want...

Location, location, location. I was in Bayeux chiefly to take one of the D-day tours. The company I chose made pick-ups right behind the hotel, the Bayeux tapestry was a 3 minute walk, the cathedral maybe even closer, and the hotel offers a shuttle to Mont St. Michel to boot! The hotel felt cozy with a touch of "through this...

We had read reviews of the Churchill that said the owners were "made to be in the business". I could not agree more. No matter what time of day or who we encountered at the front desk, they were always, friendly, courteous, spoke wonderful English and were eager to address any questions we had. We enjoyed the browsing the WWII...

This hotel was $187.00 a night. It was not the quality of a Hampton Inn. It advertised on the internet that it had internet in the room. I have a brand new MacBookPro that was unable to connect in the room with the ancient PC modem and ethernet cable offered or in the lobby where PCs had no trouble. The...

Our driver/guide to Mont St Michel (c/o Hotel Churchill), Morris, was an excellent guide. He made us feel very welcomed and gave us an excellent tour of Normandy as we drove to Mont St Michel. His useful advice and friendliness made our trip there one of the most memorable days out in France. Thanks, Morris! -Justin and Ann

We stayed for one night principally to visit the lovely town of Bayeux. We arrived quite early but were helped to our room straight away. The standard of furnishings in the room was good and the spacious modern bathroom (with bathrobes) was a bonus. As has been mentioned elsewhere you could spend an hour or so in the hotel just...

We would go back there ANY TIME. The hotel keepers were pleasant and helpful, completely interested in us enjoying our stay. The hotel itself is old, with creaky stairs and a wonky layout, but this all adds to the experience, not take away from it. My teenage son loved the place, and we all slept very soundly - the beds...
