We were cycling touring across Normandy and stayed 3 nights in Bayeux, Mogador was exactly what we were looking for the whole trip, genuine and great value and run by lovely people For two people looking for somewhere simple to stay we could not have asked more, traditional norman breakfast is a blessing to English people and the room was...

Rooms are clean and basic, everything worked as expected. New owners were so welcoming, resolved double bed/2 singles issue by giving us an extra room - no charge. Drove me to local bike shop to resolve issue with wheel.

Stayed as a group of cyclist for 3 nights, great location in the town centre. Rooms are adequate, clean and comfortable, breakfast good, not many other facilities but given the choice of pubs and restaurants on its doors step not really an issue. Secure parking for bikes and a really friendly couple running the place. Would stay again. Great value...

This hotel was everything I could have asked for as a budget traveller: spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, friendly hoteliers that really went the extra mile to help me feel welcome while I was there. It's about an 8 minute walk to the tapestry area (past some lovely shoe stores!), 20 min walk to train. Patisseries/boulangeries and restaurants right outside your...

Hotel Mogador in the quaint town of Bayeux is a good value for the money. Rooms are a bit worn, in need of some updating but hotel well located, Daniel the owner is incredibly helpful and the price or right.

My son and I stayed at the Hotel Mogador for two nights and truly enjoyed the place. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful to a couple of newbies visiting France. The rooms were small, but we came to Normandy to tour the D-Day sites, not to sit our room so it was just fine. The location was perfect, and...

We stayed at the hotel for two nights whilst cycling in the Bayeux region. The rooms are small but tidy and comfortable, and the amenities are satisfactory. Breakfast is fresh, typical continental, and served promptly. The proprietor is very friendly and certainly made us feel welcome. The hotel's location is convenient, and a short walk brings you to most of...

This was the first stop on our month long trip through France. It could not have been more perfect. This is a charming small hotel with excellent service and a quaint breakfast room. The owner speaks English. We had a room that overlooked a square - such a picturesque town. We plan to stay here again on our next visit.

Very welcoming, perfect for our overnight stay and I have to thank you Monsieur for recommending I see the tapestry before leaving. Otherwise we were just passing through. It was a cold night and the onion soup and Normandy tart at the restaurant on the left of the hotel, I think a German one was excellent.

Room was nice. People were very friendly and helpful. Spoke English, which was a plus. The hotel is in a good location of town. Continental breakfast came with the room. Bayeux is a good central place to be for sightseeing the countryside, cemeteries, and beaches.

“If you don't mind a little noise from the street below floating up, the street side rooms offer great views into the square! Also, request a lower floor room if you have heavy luggage or limited accessibility - it's a lot of stairs to the top!”

“I would request a room in the back if I returned; the rooms on the plaza are lit throughout the night by the hotel's sign, and there is the general noise from traffic and folks out in the plaza.”
