Back in Le Picard campsite for a short break. Crossing by the ferry St Mont St Michel was very calm, enjoyed our first French meal: steak and frites for me and cod and frites for the other half, delicious. Bit of drizzle when we arrived but soon we were cosy in our caravan thanks to our excellent Truma heating management...

We went to Le Picard for 3 nights last year to break up our journey south. We really enjoyed our stay and decided to stay this year for the whole holiday, 15 nights. The camp site is ideally located for the tourist. It's not to far from lovely long sandy beaches, pretty little villages, plenty of WW2 museums, and Bayeux....

We had a thoroughly enjoyable week long stay at Le Picard campsite. The pitches were absolutely perfect.. spacious, short grass, private and shaded if preferred. The pool was great.. clean and heated and the kids loved it. The owners were helpful and chatty, and being English it definitely added to the friendly ambiance on site. We made many friends, all...

The owners were excellent hosts with a 'nothing is too much' mentality. Our pitch had a tap and electricity hook up and was more than large enough for the car and a large family sized tent. There is also a restaurant, swimming pool and bar area for campers to enjoy which was a pleasant surprise. Given we wanted to see...

For us, it was an emergency change of plan after having rescheduled our ferry due to a storm. It was good to find a suitable location that was open all year and the owner, Paul, was British, but he was keen to sell the site and it showed. What we found was a little contradictory in that the house and...

This campsite is the place to enjoy the surrounding area of Bayeux and the beaches but being far enough away from the tourist traps. It is typically French but run by an English couple! A quiet spot at the start of July. Our pitch faced a field of Maize with sheep and goats to the right. It was of good...

We were lucky to get a nice pitch on this lovely quiet site. The food was very good and well priced. The facilities are good but a little tired. It was lovely to have chickens roaming the site. It was a great place to access the Normandy beaches and Bayeux.

We arrived here after a long drive form the North of England. The owners were both very friendly on our arrival. The facilities were great and very clean. The pool was lovely and heated, so was a great temperature for my 8 month old daughter. We only stayed for 3 nights as we were touring around France but would definitely...

Stayed at Le Picard for two weeks and found the facilities to be excellent and the restaurant food of a high standard and well served. The position of the site is perfect for touring the surrounding area. The owners were always available to help and advise on places to go.
