Everyone was kind and helpful. The restaurant attached was wonderful. I did find the breakfast somewhat lacking compared to its price--too many carbs. Ask for the upstairs cathedral view room (Ingrid #17). Keep in mind that there is no elevator. Fantastic town.

Clean room and comfortable bed. The bathroom was TINY with not a single hook for a towel or robe. A tea pot would have been nice. Rooms are much smaller than advertised. Staff was kind and attentive. Location was excellent. Overall, a positive experience. Easy fixes with a hook & tea pot! Oh, wifi was dreadful!

Great location. We stayed in the annex which was quite large with enough storage just no AC which was something I overlooked when booking. They gave us a fan and ended up being ok. A little frustrating when the bathroom lights would go out after a certain amount of time, but a yell to someone in the next room the...

Very sweet hotel & staff. You need to be aware that there is no air conditioning, but Normandy is typically cooler & we didn't have any problems. Also, there is no elevator, so you may be climbing a few flights of stairs. It is in a great location and a nice walk to anywhere we needed to go. Had a...

This is a busy place in the summer but run very efficiently. The bar / restaurant can get very busy but the food and drinks keep arriving without delay. The room and free wifi are fine but maybe the breakfast is a bit low key with machine coffee! Overall a good place even though you have to hunt around a...

The Reine Matilde is really wonderful, it's location is exceptional, right across the road from Bayeux's stunning cathedral. Hotel Reine Mathilde is a good base for exploring the town and the region. The staff are helpful, parking is easy, and the location is very picturesque near a canal and the Cathedral.
