Very comfortable room in a beautiful home, excellent breakfast with homemade apple tart, no less, and great suggestions for dining out locations. Easy walk to the central ville. But best of all was our hosts' assistance with a last minute car rental and more importantly the recovery of a lost bag on Paris' metro. Truly above and beyond hospitalityThank you...

We had planned to stay for only 2 nights, added a third night because we so enjoyed our visit. Carole is the consummate host, and her beautiful home and food are the essence of French hospitality. There are only 2 guest rooms - ours was in the "attic" - beautifully appointed, large bathroom and scrupulously clean. Her breakfasts were a...

This bed and breakfast was everything we hoped for. Lots of privacy, quiet, a living room to ourselves, large bedroom and bath overlooking a beautiful French garden. Beautifully furnished. Our host, Carole, could not have been more gracious and generous. Breakfast included meats, cheeses, fresh breads, pastries, fruits and more. She helped us choose our destinations each day and made...

We were so glad we found this wonderful bed-and-breakfast. Hostess Carol is a joy to work with and presents the epitome of a French breakfast, different each day. The two rooms are extremely comfortable and the entire place is beautifully cared for. Only a few minutes walk from all of the sites in Bayeux. One must comfortable with stairs.

A real gem. Beautiful home, with beautiful grounds and a short walk to picturesque Bayeux. A great central location for exploring Normandy. Our second visit and we would stay no where else in this area. Above all Carole makes it special. She is a delight, who makes sure her guests are well-treated. Her breakfast spread is second to none.

Fantastic homely atmosphere with a great breakfast and a fabulous host. Carole also took great pleasure in understanding my visit plans and mapped out 2 separate tour proposals for my 2 day stay. Detailed maps and guides were provided with very accurate estimates for duration.

To begin, our host, Carole, was wonderful. We were greeted very warmly and with a big smile. Carole had maps and all sorts of info on restaurants and sites. In addition, she had loaded a number of D-Day films for us to watch. Her house was our house. Quiet and comfortable and only a 5 minute walk to the downtown...

If you are planning a stay in the Normandy region, book your stay at Clos De Bellefontaine! Carol Mallet, the owner, is a gem! Her kindness, hospitality and attention to detail is extraordinary. We booked two nights for our stay in the Elegance Guest Room. It was spacious, impeccably clean and comfortably decorated. Carol accommodated our morning outings and had...

Of all the places we stayed during our visit to France this was our favorite. If you plan on visiting the Normandy region, I cannot recommend highly enough Clos de Bellefontaine. The location in Bayeux is perfect for touring WW2 sites and is within easy walking distance to the charming town of Bayeux and the Bayeux Tapestry. The innkeeper, Carole,...

Carol is the perfect innkeeper, tourist guide and cook. Her home is quite lovely, the breakfasts include homemade breads and tarts and her rose jelly is delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I will mention that like all old homes in the area there are stairs that lead to the bedrooms- and for older travelers, light suitcases make the access...
