Stayed here two nights at the end of June. Hotel is family-run, which comes with all the positives and negatives associated with that. Hotel is very centrally located, with the tram station and chateau both within a short walk

This place is a decent budget room. It's about a half hour walk from the train station, and close to the cool ,old streets of the city center. You get your own bathroom which is nice, and it also has free wifi! Yay for free wifi! It's clean and cozy and has a nice view of the buidling across the street....

We spent 2 nights here in April since Caen is a convenient place to stay when touring the Normandy beaches. The hotel is located in the heart of old Caen and close to the Abbaye-aux-Hommes. It was built in 1789. The rooms are typical of a one or two star French hotel; basic, small, but adequate. The rooms are very...

We were on our way to the Normandy coast to pay our respects to the fallen of WWII and stayed in Caen. The place was easy to find and just behind the Abbaye-aux-Hommes. Most other places to see are walking distance too. WHat I really liked about the place was the room or rather the flat! We were 4 persons...

The hotel is quaint and is situated on a corner of a side street among housing in Caen. As we walked up to it we were a bit wary but once inside it was like stepping back in time. It’s location was perfect for us as we were never far away from food or shops if we needed them we...

Cool, little family-owned hotel close to good restaurants, downtown, etc. I missed having a chest of drawers to store clothes, toiletries, etc. The train was late from Nantes, so I missed the check-in at 8:00 pm. My daughter phoned the owner who said she would meet us at the hotel (it was around midnight). We waited there for about 20...

The staff was lovely and the room was comfortable and charming. The breakfast is not quite worth the money, but everything else was great. Walking distance to great restaurants and shopping.

This was the best and cheapest hotel during our vacation in France. A narrow house with only a couple of rooms per floor. Good beds and a nice view of monastery church towers. The hotel is just a short walk from the city centre so it is easy to get some dinner. We had no problem finding parking in nearby...

My husband and I and our 11 month old spent 3 nights here. For the price it is a good place, decent rooms with very friendly staff in a reasonably quiet part of town. I would have preferred to have a fan in the room as it was quite hot during our stay and I'm not sure the breakfast is...

“There are many one way streets in Caen, especially in this neighborhood, so if you are driving, be sure you take a good look at the map and know before hand what your route will be. It is not hard to find, but it will help to look closely at the map before you arrive so you get yourself lined up correctly for an easy arrival. You can't get too lost, and even if you miss it the first time around, as we did, it was not hard to figure it out and make it the second time around.”
