We stayed en route for Brittany and what a find it proved to be. Easy to locate from Peripherique Nord and Sud. More suitable for a single night DBB than a more lengthy stay. In a very ordinary French suburb and definitely not a short walk to Caen Centre but who cares when you have a room and a dinner...

On arrival we thought we had made a mistake. Could this area of Caen possible have a 5* hotel in it's environs? I wouldn't have thought so. It is about 30 minutes walk from the town centre and the outside appearance was not promising. We drove through the tiniest 'tunnel' to get to the very restricted car park and then...

You might not like the look of this hotel from the outside, as its fairly modern and on a main road, but don't let that put you off. It's the perfect place to stay before you catch the ferry home, and if you enjoy your food, this is heaven. They are of Michelin star quality. Pricey, but you pay for...

It took a while to find it, but once we did, it was very easy to get in and out of town. We were three for three nights using Caen as our base for touring Normandy. The room was outstanding and it was a very good value for the money. We did not dine at the restaurant since you can...

We stayed in this hotel for four nights of our week long tour of Normandy, booked through Brittany Ferries (who were extremely efficient at organising our custom itineroy). However, the first hurdle we came across was finding the hotel, after an hour of driving around the generally correct area of the city, we parked at the Caen memorial and phoned...

Nice surprise, the rooms where very well appointed, breakfast was above average (for France) and amenities where beyond expectations. On the down side location is far from center city. A little hard to find because it's mainly a restaurant.

I would ordinarily give this property 5/5 but I was cold and not able to switch on heating. If it had been summer or winter undoubtedly I would have given it full marks. I have to say that front desk bent over backwards to be helpful. The room was super, spacious and so was the bathroom which was well equipped...

One of the most superb hotels at which we have ever stayed. The room was beautiful with all one could have wanted and more. To us the reaturant was second only to Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons! The staff were delightful and most helpful.

Chose this hotel as a 1 night stopover in Caen so didnt pay too much attention to its location. that was the only drawback, about half hour walk into the centre. Having said that, it was a warm evening and having driven from Uk that day, the walk did us good! There are no restuarants or cafes nearby so if...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in August 2012. We enjoyed the king size bed (North American size), beautiful bathroom with the shower and the separate soaker tub, hairdryer, air conditioner, and safe. The breakfast buffet was generous with pain au chocolat, croissants, jams, nutella, applesauce, yogurt, fruit, ham, cheese, etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately,...
