Situated in close to many wine producers in the town of Saumur, Château Bouvet-Ladubay is a B&B with a difference. A lovingly restored late 18th Century mansion, Château Bouvet-Ladubay makes a grand first impression, with it's charm and character, set back in it's own woodland grounds. There's a modern swimming pool on-site, but it's really the period features and ornate...

We stayed two nights in this beautifully decorated chateau in the quiet village of St Hilaire, just 10 min driving from Saumur. The owner, Bruno is a very hospitable host who will try to fulfill all your wishes. The rooms are spatious, clean and decorated with antique furniture. The beds sleep wonderfully. We had apertif in the nice covered garden...

Stayed here with two girlfriends on a wine tasting weekend in Saumur. We were looking for a chateau with history and charm, a warm reception and a little touch of "something special". We found it all at Chateau Bouvet-Ladubay! The owner, Bruno, catered to our every need, even going WAY beyond the call of duty to drive us into town...

This is an elegant chateau in the famous wine region of saumur. What makes is exceptional as a place to stay is the hospitality of the host - Bruno. Bruno has an excellent knowledge of the best local restaurants and attractions. The rooms are decorated very nicely, with antique furniture and objects. The breakfast is lovely too, lots of pastry...

A wonderful and stunning chateau made all the more pleasurable by the host Bruno who was superb. Everything from the outside to the inside is beautiful. Our visit was in Autumn, the weather glorious. The rooms are luxurious with high ceilings and lovely decor. Super soft towels. Easily accessible to restaurants and markets. Peaceful location.

This château is beautiful in itself (the building is just gorgeous and the gardens too, even though they are not perfectly arranged, but they have an irresistible romantic appeal). The place where the chàteau is, the little town of Saint-Hilaire-Saint-Florent, is about a 15 minute walk from the center of the nearby Saumur, just on the shore of the Loire...

Stayed here in early June 2010 and loved it. Can't say enough about our wonderful room; it was the largest, most comfortable and best decorated of all the places we stayed during our three weeks in France. Bruno was the perfect host, providing recommendations for dinner and assisting us with making hotel reservations at our next destination. The breakfast was...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was one of the most romantic spots on our European honeymoon. The chateau is beautiful and the breakfasts are just delicious, including fresh fruit from the garden. Our host was very generous. He provided us with rides to dinner and to pick up our rental car. He also provided bikes for...

This is a beautifully maintained chateau in a great location in the Loire valley - close to Saumur and the nearby equestrian centre and close to some great wine cellars. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well decorated. And I have to say that the host was fantastically friendly and helpful. Look forward to staying there again and would recommend.
