This is a charming Hotel close to the Main Rail station and close to the main Town Centre. The staff are welcoming and will help you in anyway possible. My French is not great but the staff understood anything that was asked of them. One of our party of 10 was in a wheelchair and found this hotel ideally located.... More

This budget option is across from the train station so easy to find. The large (by French standards) room was clean with a separate toilet and bathroom within the room. Breakfast was generous with yoghurt, breads and pastries as well as fruit and cakes, cereal and juices. Coffee was good. The staff were helpful and friendly, and always a smile.... More

You get what you pay for with this hotel. It is very basic, but how can you complain when you're paying about £30 each for a double room? It is very clean and well located - opposite the train station. Some of our friends went to Paris from the day from here (only 2.5 hours on train). The owners were... More

10 out of 10 for this hotel! I chose it after reading other reviews and we were most impressed. If you are arriving, departing by train or picking up or dropping off rental car, then this is the hotel for you. Opposite La Gare, around the corner from the rental car offices, couldn't be much closer. An uphill walk to... More

Spent 2 nights at this hotel and happy to recommend as a tourist hotel in the region. Staff ( husband and wife ) very helpful - allowing guests to print boarding pass, recommend restaurants and give directions to attractions, etc. very good value for money at euro 45 per night and a decent petit dejeuner at 6 euro. Shower power... More

It is across the road from the train station and there is ample parking It is also a short stroll up into... More

On the way back home from Spain, I stayed in a twin room. The reception was kind of helpful, but clearly not guest-oriented. He would explain everything patiently, but when we were asking him about the shower that could not be attached to the wall, he simply said it must be broken and that he couldn't do anything about it.... We booked the hotel for an overnight stop between train journeys, so its location close to the station was ideal. The hotel is small and fairly basic, but it's clean and perfectly comfortable. The double room was well equipped and the en-suite bathroom was small but functional. Certainly it was excellent value for what was a pretty cheap room. The... More

We arrived in Angouleme by TGV direct from CDG after flying in from Australia and took a room in this hotel which is directly across the road from the station. It was a good choice after a long international flight. We booked for a week and could not have asked for better lodgings, from the sunny rooms, comfy beds, high... More

“We had a room at the back of the hotel because we asked for a quieter room. It was essentially fine, the walls are quite thin, but you'll find that everywhere in the hotel. I imagine it's a good idea to ask for a room that is not roadside, as it's a busy road.”
