Perfect for arriving by train or by bus from the airport, this hotel lies also close to the Old Port and an excellent selection of restaurants, cafes and bars. It is very quiet, spotlessly clean and run by charming, friendly and helpful staff. It is clearly loved by families with small children and dogs. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate (the shower cubicle was for me a little small). You get a TV and a balcony which was a bonus. The breakfast is generous and caters for a range of tastes. The coffee is superb, and you can read the local paper. There are plenty of leaflets and brochures available to help plan your activities.

We stayed in this hotel again over the weekend and once again had a Wonderful experience. The Hotel staff are absolutely brilliant, very friendly and helpful, especially Redwane on Reception who has always gone out of his way to look after us - all the Reception staff are very pleasant and we have found the cleaning staff to be friendly and cheerful; this also makes such a difference to our visit experience. The hotel is ideally situated a short walk from the train station and the bus link to the airport. The bedrooms are spotless and functional. All in all, we find this hotel to be our perfect stop over location and look forward very much to our next visit.

As others Gens de Mer hotels, this one is intended to hosts seafarers while waiting to join their ships. No luxuries inside, just an old bed and possibly a chair or a desk to put your stuff over. Bathroom also old. The building is not really well kept, and there is no living room, reason of what mariners tend to sit in the lobby just to let the day pass by. There is a restaurant that opens at evening, but staff is not really welcoming. Theres not much to see in Le Havre, so its best to go to another hotel, where at least you can rest nicely.

Cordialement, Marylise Boulic

As a cheap stopover it will do, the staff are helpfull, the breakfast buffet is fine, and the location is good. The rooms are tired with cheap repaired to the plumbing. Expect to pay extra for parking etc when you arrive. I think you could do better for the money.
