Room offered had no curtains because they had been pulled down by a previous guest, mould on ceiling above window, there was a stale smell around the bed. The bathroom was very out dated. There were two flights of stairs and no help with cases.

We spent a night here and thankfully no longer. The hotel has a great location to visit this wonderful town but it badly needs a face lift. The tiles in the bathroom were coming adrift and needed re-grouting. There were unpleasant stains on the carpet and everything felt a bit grubby. There was no kettle or facilities to make a...

I stayed at this hotel for one night only and this was too long... The room had an extremely unpleasant smell, the mattress and the bed covers were badly stained.. There was water stains all down the wall from the air con. Dead flies in chest of drawers.. It really was appalling and I only stayed because I had to...

We have stayed in several lovely, old, formerly "grand" hotels like this one and have always enjoyed them. Although the hotel is a little tired, there is a charm and benefits that newer more modern hotels simply cannot match. The owner was very gracious, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfasts were also perfect for us...

Like the title says, everything is at your door step here the beach, the marina, the restaurants, the shops, the cafes and bars, ect. ect. the hotel itself was quiet and layed back, real art decco, lots of history and architecture here, the rooms are clean but dated, I'm a bit of fan of this era of building, so I liked it,,,...

We found this hotel by chance. Definitely great location close to old port and beach and all the lovely restaurants down the street from the hotel to the port. Old world charm went out with the old word. Two nights and two days and could not get access to internet on laptop and two i-pads.: owner very abusive about this...

Really helpful staff. Free car park that staff worked well to fit us and our van in to. Small car park. Hotel needs an update and some TLC. The showers in the 2 rooms that we had booked were not 'over head' showers. They had shower attachments fitted to taps so you have to hold it over yourself as you...

This hotel reminds me of the old hotels in Miami Beach - you can tell that they were stunners in their day, but, their day has come and gone. This hotel is in need of some TLC. It does indeed have that "old world charm," but the aesthetics of the main floor and the friendly disposition of the staff did...

The hotel is well situated at the edge of the town centre, and has a small car park, making checking in and out much easier, as parking can be a problem in this area. Our room was smallish but adequate, and the bed comfortable and clean. This is an old building, complete with creaky floorboards and door keys made of...

We have stayed here two years running as a stopover while driving down from Calais on our way further south. Location is perfect - right in the old town, close to some great restaurants and bars. Although the best bar is in the hotel itself, thanks to the friendly owner Francois. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for...
