Went to Aix for Cezanne 2006 in September. Booked this hotel in view of the convenient location, 2 minutes walk to the train station (was travelling in France by train). 5 minutes walk to cours Mirabeau which is lined with numerous cafés & bistros. Paid 115 euros per nite for 2 nites stay. Additional 13 euros for buffet breakfast. The... More

A really friendly hotel with a great location. Beds were so comfortable and the free mini bar was great!! The parking in the multi storey was a bit of a challenge as it was really busy when we arrived. But we left the car there for two days and it was really reasonable. Would definitely return!

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Cezanne (October) and were very impressed with the Hotel and service there. The reception is stylish, brightly coloured and welcoming as were the staff. The bar was self service and based on trust. We had a superior room which was spacious and well appointed with a huge, very comfortable... More

We stayed for one night. Great location. Extremely comfortable beds. Parking is not included, but Aix has many multi-storey car parks. We arrived on a Saturday night and had to wait in the car park queue for about 30 mins, but spaces do come up...just be prepared to wait. The staff were excellent. Pre-booked restaurant for us, gave advice on... More

We happened to be in Aix for only one night, but will definitely return for a longer stay in future and without hesitation would stay at the Hotel Cezanne! The room is spacious for a hotel in France, and the bed by far was the largest and most comfortable throughout our trip. We appreciated the free refreshments in the room,... More

Out of our tour through Provence and the Riviera this was the greatest '3' star hotel we stayed at. I was actually a little supprised that it was 3 star after the others! The staff were very friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. The room we had was somewhat on the small size but the appointments made up for the lack... More

GOOD NEWS As we understand the story, this hotel was fomerly a Mercure property but is now independent. Regardless, it was a superb experience. Two modern and chic lounges, luscious white stucco walls with purple carpet (sounds wierd, but it works well). Very experienced and helpful desk staff. Best breakfasts we had in 12 days in France (but they do... More

The Hotel Cezanne is adorable. Located right near the train station (non-TGV) and walkable to all the sights, it is priced reasonably and elegantly decorated, in a funky, boutique way. The staff all spoke English and the beds were super comfortable. There is a nice lounge/bar in the lobby area where you serve yourself, which is great if you want... More

My girlfriend and I were travelling around France and heading to the Cote D'Azur by car, and needed somewhere to stay on route. The hotel is on the edge of the town centre, easily in walking distance of the centre for a wander and restaurants. The hotel was well appointed, furnished with individual style with welcoming staff. The room was... More

The hotel has apparently undergone a makeover and the room we had showed the effort. Large bathroom with 2 sinks and bidet with separate toilet room --- nice touch. Mini bar for soft drinks was free! Staff was friendly and spoke good English. The public spaces on the first floor were very cramped and the furniture was not my taste... More
