The hotel is in a good area, almost across the street from the Granet Museum and very close to many restaurants, bistros, bakeries and shops. For the price, it is fine. The decor is tired looking and things could use spiffing up. Our bathroom was odd with a very low ceiling which made showering difficult. Fast Wifi. The air conditioner wasn't...

A perfectly fine place to rest your head as you explore Aix and the rest of Provence. Clean, affordable rooms. Location is fantastic for walking to the main street and wandering around the old city. No need to pay extra for the breakfast, there are tons of places around that serve petit dejeuner.

very pleasant and comfortable place in the central part of a lively small city. Located in the 17th-18th-century part but only 5 minutes away from the heart of the medieval Aix. Excellent place to stay when visiting Aix-en-Provence

This hotel is a two star, but it is in an excellent location. Imagine walking out of the hotel everyday into a beautiful 12 century street with a museum and historic church only a few steps away. The hotel is very basic - you get what you pay for. The people at the front desk are helpful and very nice.

Last September-October my parents and I took a trip through Provence. Aix was our last stop, and in all the other cities and towns we had wonderful experiences with lodging. My father had booked this hotel behind the rest of the families back based on Fodor's Choice and Trip Advisor reviews. We were staying at the fantastic Chateau de Mazan...

We enjoyed our two night stay in Aix and Hotel Cardinal. Hotel Cardinal is situated south of Cours Mirabeau in Quartier Mazarin, the quartier is built in the end of 17th and the beginning of 18th century. Try to wander around in the neighbourhood, it is like to hop two centuries back in time. The rooms of the Hotel Cardinal...

The hotel is charming with a South of France character. The hotel is operated by a nice and friendly staff. The hotel is located opposite of Musée Granet and only a few steps away from the busy city center. Cars can be left in close by parking lots. Our room was clean and on the ground floor, in annex facing...

The hotel is everything you'd imagine a French hotel to be. It's quaint, charming, cleaned and operated by staff of impeccable manners. The rooms are clean. The hotel is located close to the shopping city center and makes for a easy commute about town. It was a joy to stay here.

We would (and will!) happily return to this charming hotel. A beautifully, and very knowledgeably, furnished 18th century house whose individual rooms are a delight. Our double room was spacious and comfortable, completely silent at night (aaah!!), sunny in the day. Reading some of the other reviews, I do not recognise the hotel at all. It's owner, who works at...

This hotel offers a perfect location with great facilities. Room 30 was a suite: large bedroom, squeaky clean bathroom and a kitchen dining room. Al rooms had big windows, including the bathroom. The dining room looks over the beautiful square and has lots of morning sunshine. The bedroom looks over a leafy back courtyard which is so peaceful. Staff are...
