We stayed in Hotel Cardinal for one night with my husband and my 18 months old child. We made a reservation directly to the hotel through internet and it was quick and easy. The hotel is beautifully located right in the center of Aix en Provence, in a very peacefully road. We parked our car in a private parking very...

I agree with most of the reviews above - your experience at this hotel depends on the room you get. We stayed at the "annex" around the corner because we wanted access to a kitchen during our stay in Aix. The "suite" was on the second floor and was very large, with high ceilings. The furniture was a mixture of...

The room was lovely, and I saw a lot of it as I was unfortunately ill! But our room (number 8) was very big, and had a newly tiled bathroom. I would definately recommend the hotel, both for its location and comfort.

We arrived on May 22nd 2008 having booked by email several weeks previously. A deposit was taken for the booking by the hotel via bank transfer. When we arrived, we were told that no rooms were available and we would have to stay elsewhere. The receptionist found the emails confirming the booking, but offered no apology or explanation for the...

We stay in hotel Cardinal for one night. The personal is very kind and polite. The rooms are very typical "french" style with nothing except for the toilette modern, and this gives a good atmosphere. The only thing disappointed us is that was powderly!!!!

I studied abroad in Aix-e-Provence and always stay at Hotel Cardinal when I return. You can't beat the location or the price. You can walk to the bus station or train station (TGV station is outside the town center, however, so you'll need to take a bus or taxi into town if arriving that way). The hotel is just a...

We have just returned from two days at the Cardinal Hotel. We booked over email with no French and the staff were incredibly helfpul, especially Paulo, who was kind enough to lend the hotel iron. We had room 6, with a double bed and single bed and great bathroom. The room has really high ceilings, with original shutters and original...

My wife and I stayed for three nights in the Cardinal, in two different rooms. In the first night, we had a room in the "main building" for just 69 € which was beautifully decorated and had a great bathroom - a clear 5/5 for value for money. The subsequent nights, we had a "suite" at 100 € in the...

We just came back from Aix, and we stayed at the Cardinal for 2 nights. What we liked about it, is it's in a quiet area, just a few minutes walk from the pedestrian area of the old town. It was also nice to be waken up in the morning by the sound of the church bells nearby. We had...

I recently stayed here on a 6 day visit to Aix and absolutely loved it. Set on a quaint historic street near a beautiful church, it was the perfect place for me and my 2 best friends from college. Great location and 3 blocks from the Cours Mirabeau, the street is quiet and very well lit. Madame Bernard and her...
