We checked in to La Calendal on the recommendation of close friends who frequent the area. Followed the GPS through winding streets to the front of the hotel. We were shocked when we picked our heads up and realized we were right on top of the Amphitheater and the Forum. Not over 100 feet to each. There were a few...

Good location and friendly and helpful staff most of whom speak good English. Narrow steep stairs to haul your bags up. Big room but smallest shower I have ever encountered in the smallest bathroom. Every time I moved I shut the water off. Plenty of hot water when the tap stayed on. Good WiFi and an air conditioner that worked....

This is a fantastic hotel right in the centre of Arles. You can lie in the relaxing spa and have a view of the amphitheatre! I stayed here for one night and found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Our family (2 adults & 2 kids aged 9 & 7) stayed here for 3 nights and toured Arles, Nimes and Avignon. Wonderful management &staff who could not do enough for you in a great hotel in a great location. Wake up and have a coffee looking at the Colosseum. Our kids loved the hotel's wall features, toys and games....

Loved this hotel! Our room was bright, colorful, cleam, and charming, and had everything we needed. Staff was professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The garden was delightful, even on a chilly day in March. The central location was perfect for walking everywhere. Couldn't have been nicer!

One of my all time favorite European hotels. Location a few yards from both the Coleseum and amphitheater in Arles with a great casual food snack bar out front, we simply loved it. The staff were all friendly and professional. Stay here in Arles vs. bigger Avignon. Jack Duffy

The location is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and very helpful. The renovated reception and dining areas are far above what you might normally expect for this kind of hotel. The only negative point was the very expensive breakfast. Although it is made clear at the start that a basic breakfast is available, the basic breakfast is not...

Hello and thank you for your commentary on TripAdvisor ! We have noted that you found the full breakfast expensive at 12euros but even though "excellent". Our croissants and pain au chocolat are freshly made and our breads come from a "typical" baker and not from frozen items. Also we try to have a large part of breakfast with organic...

Le Calendal was the perfect hotel with a room overlooking the Roman Colesseum, room for three, delicious breakfast, and most helpful and kind staff members. The hotel lobby is chic and lively. Check out the two perpetual motion sculptures there. Very fun and beautiful. Having internet access was handy, as was being in the middle of Arles. We so appreciated...
