This was one of the only hotels open in Arles while we were there (mid-November), but we are glad it was! The hotel staff was very nice and helpful, and the room was clean, and we had a nice balcony as well. Great lounge area, and they serve tasty little sandwiches at the hotel cafe. We would definitely stay here...

Nice hotel, great location, the room was nice pretty large but there were a lot of insects (cloportes)in the bathroom. Breakfast was good and the garden outside is very nice

My husband and I (in our late 20's) stayed for one night in September 2010. Arles is a more quiet town in the Provence area with great roman ruins to check out. The location of the hotel is right next to the roman amphitheater and very close to the roman classical theater. The staff were all very nice and at...

We stayed here for a lovely 2 nights. The food in Arles is lovely, and we could have dined out for a week in a different great restaurant every night. This hotel really is in the center, but its nice and quiet, especially in the evening. The small rooms are perfectly adequate, especially if you're out and about all day.

What an experience ! What turned out to be a nice central hotel in Arles became a wonderful experience. The staff is so child friendly and responded to all our questions and requests. The morning buffet at breakfast in the garden was an unnexpected surprise as the family room size and various amenities. Our daughter really loved the lavender soap...

We went to Hotel Amphitheater first to check out the place and the guys there being already full didn't even bother giving us any information . Walking to the arena we went...

I appreciated the French country style of this hotel. Everything worked as it should i.e. air conditioning, electrical sockets, toilet, faucets in bathroom, etc. The property is well kept including the landscaping...lovely garden to enjoy beverages and a bite to eat.

My wife and I stayed at Le Calendal twice for a total of 4 nights in June just before the high season. The rooms were clean, airy, well decorated and of good size. The bathrooms, as far as bathrooms go, were comfortable with all amenities i.e. quality soaps, lotions etc. from the spa. The hotel was located a minute away...

I stay at the Hotel Calendal every time I go to Arles. It's centrally located for Roman stuff -- between the theater and the arena -- and only a very short walk from the old center of town with the cathedral etc. I have never had a bad meal in the restaurant, the service can't be faulted (except maybe a...

Le Calendal is as central to Arles as you can get - right next to the Amphitheater, and a short walk from the Place du Forum. At check-in, the staff were very friendly, and gave excellent driving directions to and from the parking lot. If you have a car, I would recommend using the parking pass recommended by the hotel...
