My husband and I spent 3 weeks in Europe in September and enjoyed a variety of accomodations but this was our favorite hotel! We were there for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. It is beautiful and elegant without being overdone or stuffy. Fabulous bathroom, in addition to the lovely bedroom. Great location, perfect for walking to...

October 5-7, 2012 Arriving in Avignon via TGV from CDG after hours of travel from West Texas, walking into the Hotel d'Europe, we knew we had made the right choice. Located just inside the walls of the old city, it made a perfect base for our exploration of this wonderful city. The staff goes above and beyond to insure your...

I had no negatives of any consequence in a 2 night stay here but I am not quite as enthusiastic as other reviewers. After an initial hospitable welcome, the service is competent but a little impersonal. The rooms are spacious and in particular, the marble bathrooms deliver hot water according to a mix you determine and plenty of of it...

We stayed two nights, and long after the tarrif was forgotten we remembered the wonderful service from the front of house (especially Sebastian) and the great breakfast team, for whom nothing was a problem. The room was delightful (117), and it was impeccably clean and appointed. We had the little terrace for ourselves, so snuck in some wine and chips,...

Sept 17-20, 2012 This is a full-service hotel. For example, our 12-person group requested help in a private transfer, door-to-door, from hotel in Beaune to Hotel d'Europe. Fernando came to our aid with a very reasonable ("unbelievable," said our Provence guide) price for the 4H ride. Though we arrived at 1:00, we all were able to check-in and freshen up...

Such a joy staying at this charming hotel in Provence. We walked our way through town daily and loved exploring the restaurants and the historical sites. Wonderful location, convenient to the TVG. Staff is knowledgable about where to go and what to see. Pizza and pasta was fabulous at Nonni's. Just ask at the front desk and staff will direct...

We spent four nights at this lovely hotel on our first visit to Provence. Location is perfect; a short walk to Place de l'Horloge, the Palace of the Popes, Pont St. Benezet and several wonderful restaurants. Front desk staff knew our names; all were gracious and accommodating, as were the dining, housekeeping and bell staff. Our superior class room was...

We are regular independent travelers to Europe, but had never been to Avignon before. This was our last stop in France before heading to Italy and used this as an excuse to spoil ourselves, our two night stay was well worth it! The reception staff were excellent and arranged for our room to be ready early as we had arrived...

I splurged on this hotel to celebrate completion of a marathon. I spent three glorious nights in this charming, elegant hotel. I have never before encountered such helpful and attentive staff. Every member of the front desk staff knew me and had my key ready without me having to ask for it, and one particular staff member bent over backwards...

Are you bored reading all my 'loving reviews' of this wonder of a hotel? Don't be! There is always more to tell, n'est pas? I just passed 5 days at my 'home away from home 'Hotel D'Europe'. Just when I think they can't surpass all the wonderful examples that I've written in my many past reviews, they always do just...
