I wanted to like this place more and had high expectations after reading the reviews but sadly we felt disappointed. Location is great and it's a tastefully decorated B+B with a very friendly female housekeeper. Our room was however very small and box-like and the...More

From the accommodating our early check in, to the art, linens, and amenities, I absolutely loved our stay at LaBanasterie. Located in the center of the old town, everything is accessible by walking. Our host was knowledgeable and helpful, as was the lovely young woman...More
I booked this small hotel in Avignon for several days in mid-October. Prior to my arrival I had bad news from home about my friend who was to meet me in Avignon, who had suffered a heart attack. I told the cleaner upon arrival who...More

I do not share your opinion.
My cleaning lady you welcomed on my place because you arrived at 10:30 am in the morning. You did not warn me of your arrival time thus I was spirit to go shopping for the house. From...More
Though categorized as a B & B, I think this is more of a small, funky, arty, convenient, comfortable hotel. We stayed just one night but it would be a great place for a longer stay. Our Jr. Suite had a small sitting room, separate...More
We had a delightful two nights at this centuries-old, refurbished B&B, whose owner was immensely helpful. He even came with us to direct us to the nearby parking ramp after we arrived by car.
We were pleased to be upgraded to a wonderful suite. We...More

direction : Leave the highway A7 to the extit "Avignon nord" then follow the signs "avignon centre" drive along ramparts (the Rhone (river) on your right) enter in the city by the door "Porte de la ligne" (follow the yellow sign la mirande) and turn immediately on your right "rue des remparts de la
ligne" when this street turn on the left you are "rue de la
Banasterie", we are to N°11.
Attention Avignon is a medieval city the streets are very narrow it's difficult to drive and to park into.
if you have not too much luggage my advice is:
when you are along the wall go to the next door "la porte du rocher" ( just after la porte de la ligne) and park your car in the Popes palace parking (parkings palais des papes) then you'll go out in front of the popes palace. you look the popes palace and go to your right corner there is the small street "rue de la peyrolerie" go down it until the "rue de la Banasterie" (on your left) 2 or 3 minutes from the parking
