We were really excited about staying at La Banasterie, having read the other reviews on Trip Adviser. But I wish we had booked another room as the Quetzalcoatl room - the most expensive - is above the street and boy is it noisy! A previous review had mentioned that with the windows open it could get noisy first thing in...

We stayed at La Banasterie from 2 - 9 Sept 2006 and booked it because of all the rave reviews on Trip Advisor. Perhaps we stayed in a La Banasterie in a parallel universe to the one described by everyone else, but the guest house we experienced was truly horrible. We stayed in the annexe and the entrance hall was...

Magical little guest house in Avignon. The decor is done beautifully with fairy lights, candles and lots of oddities, the rooms are immaculate unique and wonderfully cared for. The location is ideal (unless you have a car) the streets are very windy and tiny! Avignon is a charming medieval town with loads to see although the popes palace was abit...

We have just returned from a relaxing week staying in La Banasterie. Although the owners were not there at the time, we were brilliantly looked after by thier son Michel. Everything about the place oozes charm, from the chocolates waiting by the bed to the wooden ceiling beams. The location couldn't be better with the Palais des Papes just around...

We stayed in the "Chuao" apartment in the annex, because the main building was full when we made out reservations. This is a large, clean, attractive suite, with bath, kitchenette, livingroom with two daybeds, and bedroom. Breakfast is hung in a basket outside the apartment door each morning. Staff was very helpful, and showed us the way to an inexpensive...

This was a charming provencale style inn just minutes from the Popes Palace. The owners were warm and spoke some English. Rooms are comfortable, very clean and the complimentary chocolates were a nice touch. Breakfast was great-thoughfully prepared with a good assortment of fruit, pastries and cheeses. My husband and I were very pleasantly suprised and loved the idea of...

We visited Avignon for 4 days / nights, staying at LaBanasterie during the last 2 nights. It couldn't be a more charming place. Francoise and Jean-Michael were wonderful and we felt right at home. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent; we especially enjoyed our dinner at Le Grand Cafe. We stayed in the Queztacoatl suite on the top floor. The room...

Once again Trip Advisor came up trumps. Our last stay being Syndey Australia. We had a great one night stay and will stay again. The B&B is quite hard to find as it is not an obvious B&B from thew outside, we walked by a couple of times. The hosts were kind recommending places to eat. We were caught slightly...

What a great place - just inside the city walls in a narrow street and within 5 minutes walk of the centre. Glad we took a taxi there from the station - the entrance is very discreet with just a little brass plate beside the door. Hosts are welcoming and the house is very charming. Narrow winding stone stair up...

We stayed in the Criollo room, which is at the top of the house (you have to carry luggage upstairs), but was QUIET, charming, w/ a balcony on the courtyard. There is a room w/ a queen(?) bed, and then a sitting room with a sofa on it. Perfect for a couple, or a family w/ 1 child. Hosts couldn't...
