Hôtel Balmoral Vacances Bleues receives accolades for its impeccable cleanliness and spacious, comfortable rooms, though a handful of guests mention the potential benefit of modern renovations. The amenities, including the scenic sea views and substantial breakfasts, are popular among reviewers, yet some suggest there's room for minor enhancements. While opinions on value show some divergence, the professional and warm service provided by the staff is a consistent highlight. Nestled in a prime location close to the beach and city center, the hotel's atmosphere and offerings make it a solid choice for many travelers.

Great house in a prime location in Menton, unfortunately it is getting old and the rooms are in dire need of renovation. I would like to mention that the hotel and the rooms were immaculately cleaned. The WiFi leaves a lot to be desired.
Beds and pillows are good. The friendliness depends on the mood of the day, sometimes they are very friendly, sometimes they don't even look at you. It's actually a shame for such a great historic house in a perfect location in Menton. Spending a little money to renovate it and offer guests a nice experience would be appropriate here. The breakfast is mid-range, with fresh jam, cheese, ham, juice from the machine and coffee. Next time we stay at the M Ment we will definitely choose a different house.

A fabulous location across the road from the beach and the rear door opens on to the pedestrian street. However, the rooms are very small with only sufficient room to have one case open. More attention to small details such as replacing used paper cups in the room would improve the experience. We had a sea facing room- nice view but impossible to look at it except when standing in front of the window ( where bags were stored). TV impossible to watch as had to sit on the side of the bed fir two to watch it! Breakfast is continental and fine. The outside area has potential to be a lovely space but looks neglected and a bit tatty.

This is a 3 star hotel which could be a 4 if they ironed out some issues.
The plus points are it’s location, overlooking the sea. We booked a double disabled room but got a twin, not that good for a wedding anniversary! However it had a walk in shower and raised toilet.
Some issues with emptying the bathroom bin, and the maid removed a screwdriver I needed for my disabled scooter. They did find it the next day.
The restaurant was unbookable until the last night
which meant we had to find somewhere to eat that was disabled friendly.
Parking is a nightmare! It’s on street or in an underground car park, albeit at a discounted rate, however if you can find a space you should pay at a pay & display, times are Monday-Saturday, 9-12, 2 -7 but there seems to be no enforcement, we saw a car with a ticket dated 3 days ago!
The website said all rooms had tea & coffee making facilities, but no, we were given a kettle, but had to pay a 20€ deposit. It also says room service but no.
If they sorted out the restaurant, tea and coffee facilities gave us a room we had booked (double not twin) and room service it might make a 4 star.
The price is a bit high for a 3 star, but as they say location, location, location.

Dirty room, unilaterally stained carpet, air conditioning vent with mold mixed with dust, a small button battery found when pulling the sheets...@€@#@
The photos I wanted to attach were refused.
A hotel whether modern or old...
The decor may be a little dated, elements may be damaged, but no hotel worthy of its name can ignore cleanliness and hygiene.
We can offer you a great price with a sea view....but the price does not excuse everything.

For my anecdote, I mistakenly made the wrong date when booking. The hostesses were very kind and were able to find me a room following a cancellation, while moving my booking date in order to pay only the surcharge. The rooms are very clean.

Despite professional and attentive staff and the ideal location of the hotel on the seafront, the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. No bottle of water available, the soap was not replenished in the bathroom and above all the towels provided were systematically dirty. We reported this problem to reception on several occasions but despite all their good will they were unable to provide us with clean towels. This spoiled our stay, we don't expect when booking a 3-star hotel to have this kind of unpleasant surprise in terms of hygiene.

We had an amazing time in hotel Balmoral. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They gave us great sea view room and were very helpful with some direction advice by printing train & bus timetables to the nearby touristic places and towns. Also the food was great during breakfast, I especially liked the fresh fruits and the outside sitting area. Thank you very much for making our stay unforgettable at Menton!

Entering this hotel out of curiosity to compare it to the one we had to leave the next day, we were so well received that after visiting a room that was available, we immediately decided to take advantage of this opportunity and extend our stay. one day our stay in Menton. Happy decision, we were delighted! Beautiful hotel on the seafront with a beautiful view which has retained the charm of the Belle Epoque establishments. Clean and spacious room, high ceilings, impeccable bedding comfort. No noise pollution during the night despite the absence of double glazing. Very friendly and attentive staff. The whole thing is a little outdated, carpet on the floor a little worn, but the renovation is scheduled for next year. Breakfast, included in the room price, is a real plus, and what a breakfast! a real treat to start the day! An address to remember for a possible next stay.

The hotel overlooks the sea on one side and the pedestrian street on the other. You can see the fireworks directly from the courtyard, on the sea side. The single room is spacious and has a balcony with a chair.
Staff at the reception very young but very kind and professional; they speak Italian very well.
The restaurant staff is also very young, professional and kind.
Warning before, I had gluten-free foods.
