Breakfast buffet was an ample choice including cheese, cold meats, fruit salad, yoghurt, cereals, pastries and croissants, plus a hot selection of scrambled or boiled eggs, sausages and bacon. They don't have a restaurant for dinner but there are lots of places to eat as you walk towards the old town.
Only negative was the wifi which wasn't great and kept disconnecting. We'd definitely stay here again though and Menton is gorgeous!

Spectacular views, perfect balcony, Very modern rooms, wonderful stall shower, the bed is so comfortable, and the room size is just right. Listening to the sea crash against the rocks just rocks you to sleep. The sunrises over Italy and sunsets in front o the beach are breathtaking. The room is Impeccably decorated and clean and very well serviced. Room service breakfast and snacks is very appreciated!
The rooftop solarium and jacuzzi with 360 views from the mountains to the sea are breathtaking and memorising.
Perfect. Even the recently redone reception is just gorgeous.
The staff are so very friendly helpful and full of recommendations and information. Just lovely.
Staff incredibly at your disposition with every question or request. Just lovely.
The only thing lacking here is: No restaurant to eat directly at the hotel or order room service after 7pm but snacks for room service are excellent and little cute restaurants next door for a quick bit were very good!!! Only Recommend: adding more non-gluten options to room service breakfast menu and extra big coffee cups in the room ( the Nespresso cups are too small).
When staying in Menton this is the only hotel to be at! I 100% without a doubt, without hesitation recommend the Hotel Princess & Richmond.
Coming to the point: to welcome us in a hall that was not very large, but nice and well-kept, I found friendly and knowledgeable staff who, upon request, did everything possible to assign us the room ahead of schedule. The sea view room - with large terrace, is clean, spacious and quiet and equipped with every comfort. The view is spectacular!! I have only one banal note about the room... there are too many shades of wood.
Absolutely adequate price.

We were forced to pay deposits corresponding to the first night collected quickly
On arrival we ended up with a room overlooking the neighboring Building and to see the sea we had to go to the balcony and see it between the two buildings. The balcony also given on the busiest roads of chin (6 lanes in total), we were more on the Paris ring road than by the sea
Pension to avoid if you want to be quiet no charm
the price even if a bit high is worth
congratulations to all the staff you feel pampered
Thank you.
+ friendly staff
+ AC in the room
+ clean
- thin walls, not soundproof
- parking
The view from our balcony was great, room was clean and staff were friendly. Location is good, but traffic was loud. Breakfast was okay, they offered different kinds of food (cereal, variety of jam, eggs, etc.) But we were quite disappointed when we realised that on the second day, they put out the bread from the day before. The walls are very thin, sadly we were woken up almost every morning by the cleaning staff talking and working outside in the hallway. Also we didn't realise that we had to book a parking spot in the garage beforehand. So we had to search a spot around the hotel somewhere.
Overall our stay was good, but it was nothing extraordinary. I expected a bit more from a 4 star hotel.

This is our third time here. Unfortunately, a lot has changed. It was renovated 1.2 years ago. We are on the 3rd floor.
Rooms are laid with non-insulating laminate, you can hear every step - your neighbor's anyway. Also very thinly soundproof. Wardrobe doors are not easy to open with fingernails. Armchairs are extremely heavy and the room door weighs an estimated 100 kg!!! Shower seal on tiles is already black. Rooms very clean, staff very friendly, small underground car park, 6 parking spaces in front of the house. Breakfast has a small selection but is OK. We will come back because of the location, as it is ideal for 2, 3, 4 days. Room price depends on occupancy.

Breakfast buffet provided an excellent choice of cereals, yoghurts, pastries, croissants etc as well as boiled/scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, cold meats, cheeses. Really quite a comprehensive selection.
My only negative is the squishy stool in the bedroom by the desk. Get rid of it! It's uncomfortable and useless as a writing/computer chair. Replace it with a proper chair to sit and use at the desk! A very, very trivial point really as in the end there were two chairs and a table on the balcony and I just moved one of them into the room and it was fine.
Comfortable bed, air-conditioning worked well as did the wifi. Kettle with instant coffee/tea in the rom, bathrobe and slippers, shampoo etc provided.
Overall clean, with friendly helpful staff. Good value for money. I would definitely stay again.
