We stayed three nights here. The rates were reasonable, perhaps because the location is slightly out of the town, but it's an easy walk of 15-20 minutes. Very convenient for buses to Nice and Monaco which stop around the corner on the main road behind the hotel. Hotel reception area is modern and bright and looks recently renovated. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the sea view from the balcony. The road along the sea front means you do get traffic noise, but you can also hear the sounds of the waves on the rocks below which is lovely. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. It's a family-run hotel with a nice atmosphere and where they seem to take a genuine interest in their guests satisfaction.

Breakfast buffet was an ample choice including cheese, cold meats, fruit salad, yoghurt, cereals, pastries and croissants, plus a hot selection of scrambled or boiled eggs, sausages and bacon. They don't have a restaurant for dinner but there are lots of places to eat as you walk towards the old town.

Only negative was the wifi which wasn't great and kept disconnecting. We'd definitely stay here again though and Menton is gorgeous!

This beautiful boutique 4* hotel is perfectly located steps from the sea but away from the hussle and bustle of the tourists in the village and harbour area. There are very few hotels right in the sea front and of those this is the only perfect one! This hotel in the last 4 years has become my little oasis, my escape from Paris, home away from home when I need to relax, disconnect, and recharge. Everything at Princess & Richmond is Excellent all across the board!

Spectacular views, perfect balcony, Very modern rooms, wonderful stall shower, the bed is so comfortable, and the room size is just right. Listening to the sea crash against the rocks just rocks you to sleep. The sunrises over Italy and sunsets in front o the beach are breathtaking. The room is Impeccably decorated and clean and very well serviced. Room service breakfast and snacks is very appreciated!

The rooftop solarium and jacuzzi with 360 views from the mountains to the sea are breathtaking and memorising.
Perfect. Even the recently redone reception is just gorgeous.

The staff are so very friendly helpful and full of recommendations and information. Just lovely.
Staff incredibly at your disposition with every question or request. Just lovely.

The only thing lacking here is: No restaurant to eat directly at the hotel or order room service after 7pm but snacks for room service are excellent and little cute restaurants next door for a quick bit were very good!!! Only Recommend: adding more non-gluten options to room service breakfast menu and extra big coffee cups in the room ( the Nespresso cups are too small).

When staying in Menton this is the only hotel to be at! I 100% without a doubt, without hesitation recommend the Hotel Princess & Richmond.

I have read reviews that complain about a lack of attention to pets while I must say that this was absolutely not the case in my case. Maybe it's because my little dog is polite...
Coming to the point: to welcome us in a hall that was not very large, but nice and well-kept, I found friendly and knowledgeable staff who, upon request, did everything possible to assign us the room ahead of schedule. The sea view room - with large terrace, is clean, spacious and quiet and equipped with every comfort. The view is spectacular!! I have only one banal note about the room... there are too many shades of wood.
Absolutely adequate price.

I chose this hotel for seafront, soundproof and 4 star service. I got the seafront room, but not the rest. The receptionist upon arrival was so aloof and could not describe well breakfast she just said it was small, but later on my last day, I saw there was hot choices, she did not explain how to use the parking code. I had specifically asked for a quiet seafront room on top floor to not have to hear loud women walking in heels (inconsiderate). I got a small room, kind of cramped, they had 4 chairs for a small room. The balcony was the best w/AMAZING views. So wonderful to just sit in the sun and hear the waves. So the room was next to the elevator motor, so it was impossible to have a quiet night sleep when I could hear every time someone used the elevator at 23:30, 02:30, 05:30, 06:00 all day. It was terrible. When I complained at the reception to ask for another room, the lady with red hair was so rude and just kept saying that the noise was impossible and nobody ever complained before. Then apparently there was no other room, but from my balcony I could see rooms below were not being used. This was NO 4*STAR SERVICE! Instead simply excusing them of the noise and disruption, accommodating a guest staying 3 nights, the lady was just rude and said they would send someone to fix the noise, but it was not fixed and she just kept making excuses. The fitness area was kind of creepy and after seeing that, I don't know how clean the jacuzzi might be, so be careful. Other than being seafront, this is definitely not a 4* hotel and overpriced.

When Reservation by phone we had booked a sea view room with balcony.
We were forced to pay deposits corresponding to the first night collected quickly
On arrival we ended up with a room overlooking the neighboring Building and to see the sea we had to go to the balcony and see it between the two buildings. The balcony also given on the busiest roads of chin (6 lanes in total), we were more on the Paris ring road than by the sea
Pension to avoid if you want to be quiet no charm

Hadn’t been here for 5 years. It has had a nice face lift to the reception area and is in general improved - not that things were bad before! A nice welcome, we had a suite on the 6th floor and the extra space was nice to have, and a double balcony. Comfortable, clean room, sensibly priced mini bar. The hotel is located just past where all the restaurants stop so you don’t have the noise or smells yet everything is an easy stroll away. Menton is still a lovely place to just stroll and be reminded how lucky we are.

+ lovely view from the balcony
+ friendly staff
+ AC in the room
+ clean
- thin walls, not soundproof
- parking

The view from our balcony was great, room was clean and staff were friendly. Location is good, but traffic was loud. Breakfast was okay, they offered different kinds of food (cereal, variety of jam, eggs, etc.) But we were quite disappointed when we realised that on the second day, they put out the bread from the day before. The walls are very thin, sadly we were woken up almost every morning by the cleaning staff talking and working outside in the hallway. Also we didn't realise that we had to book a parking spot in the garage beforehand. So we had to search a spot around the hotel somewhere.
Overall our stay was good, but it was nothing extraordinary. I expected a bit more from a 4 star hotel.

Location in the middle of the stony beach of Menton. It will definitely be loud because it is surrounded by 2 streets. And the 30 km/h zone in front of the hotel only applies to foreigners, 50 to 100 km/h is normal for French people...!
This is our third time here. Unfortunately, a lot has changed. It was renovated 1.2 years ago. We are on the 3rd floor.
Rooms are laid with non-insulating laminate, you can hear every step - your neighbor's anyway. Also very thinly soundproof. Wardrobe doors are not easy to open with fingernails. Armchairs are extremely heavy and the room door weighs an estimated 100 kg!!! Shower seal on tiles is already black. Rooms very clean, staff very friendly, small underground car park, 6 parking spaces in front of the house. Breakfast has a small selection but is OK. We will come back because of the location, as it is ideal for 2, 3, 4 days. Room price depends on occupancy.

Stayed here for three days after having spent a month travelling in Italy. Quick and easy to check-in, very pleasant staff throughout the stay, immaculately clean in the room and elsewhere. I was in a cheaper, rear mountain facing room but even the view from there was lovely!

Breakfast buffet provided an excellent choice of cereals, yoghurts, pastries, croissants etc as well as boiled/scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, cold meats, cheeses. Really quite a comprehensive selection.

My only negative is the squishy stool in the bedroom by the desk. Get rid of it! It's uncomfortable and useless as a writing/computer chair. Replace it with a proper chair to sit and use at the desk! A very, very trivial point really as in the end there were two chairs and a table on the balcony and I just moved one of them into the room and it was fine.

Comfortable bed, air-conditioning worked well as did the wifi. Kettle with instant coffee/tea in the rom, bathrobe and slippers, shampoo etc provided.

Overall clean, with friendly helpful staff. Good value for money. I would definitely stay again.

Disponibili parcheggi privati all'aperto lato mare ma in numero tale che non c'è garanzia di trovare posto e 6 posti auto interrati adatti ad auto di medie dimensioni sia in lunghezza che in altezza dati gli spazi molto ristretti.
