The bathroom had cracked tiles; the carpet was stained; the sliding doors of the wardrobe had a mind of their own; there was no room coffee; I was woken every night by shop deliveries and street cleaning; the dinner was bland, uninspiring and tepid. It is the worst three star hotel I have ever stayed in.

A wonderful tea with cake helped revive us after the highs of the fabulous Festival of Lemons. Sitting in the garden in the sunshine revived us enough to make the walk to the train back to Nice. Very convenient location right on the sea front.

We stayed here a week with a group. Two tips: if you want to sleep pay extra and get a room facing the sea. The noise from the rubbish trucks and supermarket deliveries kept everyone at the back awake. Other people's comments meant we avoided this. Don't go half board. The food was really poor. We didn't have a choice...

We spent a week at the Westminster with a hiking group from Canada recently and found the hotel a great place to stay. The dining room staff were superb, the food was well prepared and the menu had a wide selection. The rooms were a little outdated , with those tiny European closets, but they were clean and air conditioned. We...

Beautiful looking hotel with friendly bar staff, sea facing rooms have - as you'd expect - unencumbered fab view. Many 'city' facing rooms have tiny balcony, ideal for a chair and a quick drink/cigarette etc etc. Front desk staff include Fulvio - excellent Italian (naturally), French, English, possibly Spanish too. Very kind and helpful, he is the hotel's biggest human...

We traveled with our 2 children (11 and 13). Had not made reservations anywhere and arrived late afternoon on a Saturday in July. We stopped at 2 other hotels, both of which had no rooms available. We were directed by them to the Royal Westminster. What a gem! We took the room on the 6th floor with sea view, overlooking...

We were looking for a sea view hotel in Nice, and found this gem in Menton at half the price. WELL worth it. Menton is a stunning little city. The front of the hotel overlooks the Beautiful Mediterrean Sea, and a view of the promenade. GREAT people watching. You can hop out the door and walk along the ocean for...

We had a seaview room on 3rd floor with a small balcony. The hotel is majestic but could do with better more comfortable furnishings esp. in the bedrooms. We had half-board for a week and dinner was generally very good with efficient pleasant staff. Breakfast was plentiful but monotonous without any changes during the week. Ideal location with pleasant garden...

Hotel is located on the promenade, fantastic views of the Med.Brilliant, however ; Get a seaview room with a balcony as the ones at the rear of the hotel are extremely noisy from 0430 onwards for about 2 hours especially if you like fresh air and want open windows. We were with a walking party, breakfast was good as it was all pre...
