Le Club Mougins is often appreciated for its value, with guests finding the inclusion of laundry facilities convenient, although some suggest a need for better-equipped kitchens. The hotel's cleanliness receives high marks, contributing to a well-maintained environment, despite mixed opinions on the somewhat dated atmosphere and furniture. Room comfort is acknowledged, yet there's a call for fresher decor. Service at the hotel is consistently lauded, with staff members recognized for their helpfulness. Nestled in a tranquil location, the hotel offers easy access to the Riviera and boasts scenic views, though some guests miss having on-site dining options.

I should say I am a bit of a picky person who does a LOT of research for our trip planning and often read 2 years of reviews about a property before I select and book. In this case, we were going to be spending several weeks in France and as a long time member of Interval International timeshare organization this location and details worked for us. However it was a but of a mixed bag re reviews with a few very negative reviews but a majority all on the line of “nice…needs updating” (those being at least a year old now). I wrote to the resort before our arrival about a concern and a special request and almost immediately received a reassuring and accommodating reply.
Still a bit apprehensive I was absolutely delighted upon arrival with the very modern, very updated, very clean unit and great view….and, yes, extremely comfortable bedding too. I had asked for a high floor unit and we are about as high as you can get (entire resort on a hill progressing from 100 building to the 800 building and we are unit 812. Lots of steps but that is ok for us). This unit is nice enough to live here year round. The separate toilet room even has its own sink and vanity (I convinced my husband he could use that as HIS private vanity area while I spread out in the good size main sink /shower room….. each has a window for ventilation. The plank flooring throughout all areas except bedroom looks good and keeps place clean. Kitchen is quite suitable for us with big fridge. A carrefour is just a ten minute walk away.
We have not used the pool since we tour the area most days but some others seem to enjoy it and the sunbeds. The resort is pretty quiet now. The large unit terraces have little clothes drying racks mounted on them so we rinse things in a soapy sink and hang to dry.
Nearby Mougins old ville is small and pretty. We had our wedding anniversary dinner at the often mentioned Le Rendez Vous on Sunday and enjoyed that…then a walk around this little town with night nighttime illumination.
I hope this description and my pics are helpful. I stopped in the office today and they advise most of the property has now had the same renovations..yes, there is a huge construction project outside of the resort but it, and the big cranes, dont bother us. The parking garage in our building is good.

We stayed for 9 days in a 2 bedroom suite - one king bed and 2 twin beds (the couch could pull out to a double bed). Beds were very comfortable and Rooms were spacious , with their own closets with drawers. There is a safe in the master closet. Each room had a flat screen tv and there were 2 separate bathrooms - one with shower only and one with tub/shower combo… both decent sized. They provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each shower area and also a packet with toothbrush, toothpaste, emery board, shower cap and body lotion.

The living room was good sized, with table for 4 connected open concept to the full kitchen. It wasn’t huge, but the kitchen had full sized fridge/freezer, cooktop and oven and dishwasher. Best part was the filtered water spout with cold water!! Heat pumps in both bedrooms and living area ensured perfect temperature. The deck was big enough for table and 4 chairs and was a wonderful place to spend time.

Laundry was available under the main reception area for 4euro wash, 2 euro dry (laundry soap was 1 euro for 2 pucks). There were only 2 washers and 1 dryer, so we had to pick a slow time to use them - 6:30 am worked best for us. It seemed that staff frequently used the machines for hand towels and cleaning cloths, which was a bit frustrating. The gym was small with one treadmill, one bike and a few free weights. The pool was okay, not heated, so it was ‘fresh’ getting in. Parking was easy and close to our unit and the area was nice and quiet.

There is a grocery store 10 minutes walk away, a pharmacy 5 minutes and a fantastic patisserie 10 minutes! There is a great restaurant nearby and they are building a complex nearby that will have boutiques, restaurants, a cinema and fitness gym.

This resort is close to the highways, making travel to the rest of the region very easy (30 minutes to Nice, 15 minutes to Cannes, 1.5 hrs to Bordighera, Italy).

Helpful and friendly staff made this stay well worth it; Rebecca was outstanding!

Carpets in rooms need to be replaced. We had many insects 🐜 in our room. The rooms are not in the best of condition. The sofa bed was not clean. All the furniture was old.

The kitchen was good and had all the equipment/appliances in working order and there was good amount of kitchen utensils and crockery available in the kitchen. The kitchen was the highlight of the apartment.

Rooms had not been serviced properly. Dishwasher full of pots & pans and had unpleasant fishy smell. Very few towels and no duvet cover or sheets for sofa bed. Waste bins were full. No tissues in bathroom, no dishwashing liquid in dispenser.
When these items were reported on Saturday we were advised we were not in the room allocated and so the room had not been serviced. When we booked in we were told this was the ONLY available room.
No hairdryer - this was requested Saturday morning and did not arrive before we left on Sunday!
As Diamond Resorts members this is not the standard we expect of a 4 star resort.
Other visitors we spoke to had experienced similar problems on arrival especially with the dishwasher.

We are Diamond Members and this is one of our favourite locations. We have stayed here twice and are returning next month.
The resort is small enough so the staff know you. The 2 bed apartments are spacious, the views from the balcony’s over Grasse and the Alps are stunning. The old town is 5 minutes away where the restaurants are outstanding only surpassed by the views.
We visited just as the resort reopened after COVID , a special mention to all the team at Diamond for their attention to maintaining social distance and cleanliness

It is comfortable accommodation, and in reasonable condition, considering the price. Nice location, with views of the hills to the north within walking distance of the beautiful old village with lots of great restaurants and shops. Very close to Highway access to the A8 motorway so easy to drive to other cities. The rooms were clean, except for the floors they could use another good washing. The staff brought linens and change the beds a couple of times, and frequently change the towels and other items.

The resort itself is a bit out of date...and looks it. It is perch on the Mougins main hill - a 20min walk from the Old Town Centre, and a 10min drive. There are plenty of restaurants up on the hills above the resort, but you need to be fit to walk it!

The rooms are basic - only the bare necessities! It would be nice to see some pictures on the walls to make it a little more homely. The facilities at the resort (those that were open) were needling a little loving care...but it was moving towards winter when we were there, so probably expected.

Mougins itself is pretty at the top of the hill in the old town but has very little else to offer. Outside of the old town, it is a very basic busy suburb. We didn't find that many restaurants outside of the old town...and those we did, we had some difficulty finding parks. It would be mayhem in summer when all the tourists descend upon the area.

Travel to other locations - Nice, Cannes, up into the national parks, etc, are busy with highways and vehicles, but once there, there is plenty to see.

The location was perfect for us as we did not rent a car and used public transit throughout which was very accessible and easy to get around on. Excellent bakery in the town a 5 minute walk away. Accommodations have amazing views of the hills and Grasse Valley. Very clean and the staff are excellent

This is a perfect location to travel within the Riviera - very convenient, and the old town of Mougins is a super quick (but hilly) walk from here. The accommodations were clean, large, and comfortable, and kitchen had everything we need. All the staff are friendly and nice and answered all our questions. The location is also great as it's walkable to a commercial center where you can get all you need - wine, pastries, etc. And the resort is very soothing and calm - away from the craziness of the shore!

We stayed here from Christmas to New Years and it was a very nice option in the area! It was very safe. The rooms were clean and kitchen functional. I LOVED that they had a water filter in our room so that we didn't need to go buy filtered water. That saved us a bunch. Safe, gated complex in a quaint little French village. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We were there in July 20. The resort did a great job of Social Distancing. You could reserve one spot a day for sun bathing. The old town at Mougins was fully open then.

We did not go on the tour of Antibes but if memory serves me right we would have left Le Club Mougins at about 0900 and returned mid afternoon. We did go on the other trips to Cannes and Grasse which were both excellent.

There is a sofa bed in the apartment which will sleep 2 people comfortably. If you are traveling as two couples, then a 2 bedroom apartment would offer more space and would be maybe more comfortable. At the time of check-in the front desk team will show you designated location for storing bikes. Hope this helps.
