I just spent 5 nights here. The hotel itself is generic modern, with an attentive, efficient staff. What made this a great choice, however, was its location. The Mercure Prom Anglais is only a 10-minute stroll to the winding cobbled alleys, restaurants and boutiques of the old town, and a 20-minute walk to the Palais des Congres (conference centre). It...

A friend recommended this hotel and it was a good choice so long as you upgrade to the sea-facing rooms, which are larger, brighter, and have gorgeous views across the Promenade des Anglais and the blue Mediterranean. These rooms have been updated in the past few years, so they do not appear worn. The bathrooms are also comfortable and functional....

Very Nice and well situated hotel exactly opposite the riviera facing the promenade... Sea View rooms are just awesome.... About 10 min walk from the old town where all the party and restaurants are placed... If you want to party and be very close the the old town then Mercure Old Town is a better option for the sake of...

We spent three nights here in early November 2012, and while the location was great, I can't say that I felt the room was anything more than mediocre. The hallway on the third floor smelled REALLY funky - I said sewer, my wife said hospital. Whatever it was, it wasn't pleasant. The room itself was fine - but you could...

Entrance to the hotel is in the side street not on the main street facing the ocean. There is another Accor group hotel on the opposite side….I think the other hotel occupies the higher level rooms while the Mecure has the lower levels. Reception area is small & a little basic, so we were starting to worry. No need. The...

Just returned from 4 day break here, agree with all good points below. This hotel is very close to airport bus stops (both ways) and bus 200 to Antibes and Cannes. 15 mins to main train station and about the same to bus 100 to Monaco, but currently hard to find this bus stop due to rebuilding of bus station....

We reallt enjoyed our stay in Mercure hotel. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Staff are extremely friendly and the hotel has amazing view (even though we had a side room) and its very centraly located, just 10 min walk from both the central station and the old city. The breakfast was decent. Nothing fancy, but it was included...

I think we've got the best room in the whole place. The corner room with huge balcony and that magnificent sea view! Nice and clean room, lovely bathroom. Restaurant do not cope with huge crowds so make sure you get up early enough. Although restaurant provides quite good selection of hot food, fruits, juices, bakery. Fantastic, friendly and very helpful...

The hotel can't really be better located. But it is a little basic for the price. The staff is helpful and friendly, but could have been a little more thorough in letting us know what we were entitled to, like a discount for the beach. Breakfast was average, but then, you're in Nice, why would you want to stay in the...

Had an enjoyable stay in a sea view room which had a great view and was very well appointed, safe coffe maker kettle hairdryer and with some quirky pottery (mock plastic cups!!). Breakfast had a good selection of things bread fruit juices cereals to suit all tastes. Downsides - though they need teaching how to cook bacon some burnt to...
