My wife and I needed a one night hotel in Nice and we picked Clair Hotel. We were welcomed by the owner, Luba, who could not have been more hospitable. He provided us with maps, suggestions for a walk, where to get inexpensive wine, and he then provided glasses we could use to sit in their lovely courtyard. But he...

Advantages of staying at this Hotel are many. Firstly is it's location enabling an easy walk to The Port (and most bus services around the city and beyond) the proximity of a very good Super marche, Boulangerie and the locked rear gate providing easy access to all of the above. However the five star rating is wholly earned by Esther...

Can not fault our stay at this hotel. We were met with a really warm welcome and shown around the court yard, kitchenette and our room. Rooms are really spacious, especially compared to rooms in other Nice hotels I have stayed at. We were given plates etc to make our own breakfasts and snacks, which was perfect as there is...

This is a perfect little base for exploring nice and the surrounding areas, close to nice riquer train station and the port. The owners are very welcoming and helpful and the garden is a fab place to sit out and have a glass of wine.

Esther and Luba are the best hosts in Nice. We really had no idea that a little oasis existed in the middle of Nice. The hotel is located in an old school building with lots of charm, especially around the garden area. On top of the amazing relaxed atmosphere, the rooms were very comfortable, big, quiet and clean. It was...

This is a simple two star hotel (so look elsewhere for room service, wall to wall TV, jacuzzis etc) whose main recommendations are remarkable value, easy walking distance of Port and Old Town, total quiet, simple but light and clean rooms, delightful secluded garden and charming owners who were enormously helpful to us when we ran into trouble of various...

I have been a guest at the Clair over the Monaco Gp weekend. A warm welcome from the owners and helpful information throughout my stay made the difference between a hotel chain unit and the Clair it's almost home from home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking value for money high standard accomodation

This quaint hotel is nestled in the cliffs above the port with easy access to supermarket, bakery and cafes. Public transport only a few minutes away as well. Rooms are basic but clean, spacious and adequate. The shining star is a sun drenched garden courtyard where you can eat breakfast, drink and dine - with a small kitchenette available to...

I don´t usually write reviews, but this time I really have to. What a hotel....such a hospitality from the owners..... I´ll be short, just to let you know what are you going to miss if you don´t visit this hotel. I came from Croatia,my first visit to Nice, all by myself, alone in a foreign country. I choose this hotel because of the garden,because...

Hotel Clair is a perfect place for a short stay getaway on a budget. We made the most of the kitchenette by making our own breakfast and packed lunch, we even rustled up a dinner one night. This saved us lots over the 4 days as eating out in Nice isn't cheap. The local supermarket is great with a lovely...
