Au Jardin De VItcorine is officially inside the city limits, but it's a winding climb up out of the bustling city into an beautifully landscaped B&B, with views of the mountains and clean crisp air. We loved staying here. Michele and Dominique are the perfect hosts and when we left after 5 days it felt like we were saying goodbye... More

We made a last minute booking to stay at Michele and Dom's place and it was the best decision we made on our trip through France. We stayed 3 nights in late May and didn't want to leave. Don't bother looking elsewhere, you've found it. We stayed at Jardin du Victorine in August, and it was wonderful - breakfast was delicious, the room was beautiful and Michele was a fantastic host. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to others and would love to return. True comfort, relaxation... a slice of luxury in the South of France.

Breakfast was different everyday and we really enjoyed the homemade jams. The view was stunning and the rooms were impeccable. Michele was a gracious host and kindly made us a reservation at a local restaurant which was very good. The B&B was somewhat difficult to find late at night without GPS so I recommend GPS.

Very good service and the room were very nice and modern and clean. It was quite an exiting drive up the mountain to the b&b but I guess just a matter of getting used to it. The garden and view was spectacular. Was also an awesome breakfast every day with a complementing new touch every day!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our guest house which dates from the seventies is located in a quiet area on the edge of Nice, called “Nissa la Bella” in the local patois. It is surrounded by lovely ancient trees, bonsais, succulents, and a variety of local flora which help to embellish the beautiful mountain views that can be seen from the infinity pool. The pool is strategically nestled into the property for our clients’ use and pleasure. The Jardin de Victorine is 1600 square meters, 900 of which are left in its naturally wooded state. The guest house, built in the severnties, was completely renovated in June, 2011 and its rooms are located on three different levels. We will be delighted to greet you at level 0! Our guest chambers are located on levels -1 and our Studio and kitchen space is located on level -2 with its view towards the poolside area. Every room has it’s own separate entry and private outside space and access to the swimming pool. Au Jardin de Victorine, you will notice that we have a love for nature and its bounty; we are blessed with old trees such as olive trees, umbrella pines, and fig trees that provide shade for us in the high heat of summer. And because the climate is so favorable, we have a passion for growing flowers and plants such as bougainvillea, oleanders, banana trees, mimosas, camellias, rosebushes, agapanthuses, ferns, rhododendrons, myrtle, and a whole host of other wonderful sights and smells you will be able to witness in the garden at all seasons! If you arrive by car, you may park your vehicle in a private car park which is shaded and cooled by climbing plants on the pergola. The panoramic view extends over the mountains that surround Nice, which includes the modest Mount Chauve, the Baou de Saint Jeannet, to the impressive “La Madonne d’Utelle” (1175m) and, in the backdrop, the summits of Isola 2000, where we love to ski during the winter. Guest room « L’Agapanthe » Located on level 1, it has a surface area of 18 square meters, its own private bathroom and shower within the room. It also has a separate WC, or toilet as we call them, for privacy sake. It is equipped with a queen-sized bed (160 x 200 cm) and also has an additional antique walnut “sleigh” bed (100 x 190 cm) There is a small outdoor terrace that you can enjoy in the L’Agapanthe room. It is equipped with WIFI, 21” flat screen T.V., mini-bar, hair dryer, and kettle. Guest room « La Bignone » Located on level 1, it has an area of 12 square meters, its own private bathroom and shower within the room. It also has a separate WC, or toilet as we call them, for privacy sake. It is equipped with a queen-sized (160 x 200 cm). There is a small covered patio and terrace allocated to “La Bignone” and from here, you may see the infinity pool as well as a magnificent panoramic view of the mountains. This room is equipped with WIFI, 21” flat screen T.V., mini-bar, hair dryer, and kettle. Guest room « La Flore » Located at level 1, it has a surface area of 14 square meters, its own private bathroom and shower within the room. It also has a separate WC, or toilet as we call them, for privacy sake. It is equipped with a queen-sized bed (160 x 200cm) Exiting through this room’s French doors and descending the few stairs to its terrace (10 square meters), you will be able to see the infinity pool and have the opportunity to relax and take in the incredible panoramic view of the mountains! This room is also equipped with WIFI, 21” flat screen T.V., mini-bar, hair dryer, and kettle. « Le Studio de la Victorine» has a thinly veiled reference to the history of the movie studios in Nice (beginning of the 20th century) Located on LEVEL 2, the Studio de la Victorine is our largest accommodation at our establishment and is a lovely furbished apartment including all the conveniences. It has 31 square meters of living space, a queen-sized bed (160 x 200 cm) and an additional antique walnut sleigh bed (120 x 190cm). It boasts a fully equipped kitchen, with microwave, refrigerator, cookware, and everything you need to prepare a meal or a snack while you are enjoying your visit. It has its own private bathroom and shower within the room. I also has a separate WC, or toilet as we call them, for privacy sake. Decorated in a modern style, le Studio de La Victorine offers only high quality equipment and supplies. Its front door opens onto the poolside area and onto the 900 square meter wooded area with unobstructed views of the upcountry mountains near Nice. The Studio offers all of the amenities that our other guest rooms do: WIFI, 21” flat screen T.V., and hair dryer. WE LOOK FORWARD WELCOMING YOU AT "AU JARDIN DE VICTORINE" !!! ... more   less

“Room l'Agapanthe is very delicately furnished, with good taste. When we entered the room, we were seduced by the neat colours of the furnitures and the nice lavender scent. It is a very quiet room and has a very nice bathroom.”
