We should have realised when we told the laughing taxi driver that we were staying at the Interlarken Hotel that we had made a mistake. When we arrived we understood as to why he was laughing. Situated at the end of an under pass and next to an elevated road opposite the main Nice rail station where the location was...

Stayed here recently for 2 nights and found it to be quite basic but on the plus side it was clean and tidy. It is well located as it is within close walking distance to the train station and quite close to the beach. Would stay here again.

I chose this hotel as had a day of meetings in Monaco the following day. It is perfectly located next to the Train station in nice and hence my choice. It is also only a short walk to many restaurants and bars. The staff I found were rather odd but probably only typically displaying what we "foreigners" find to be...

Great if you have one night and are leaving by train early - the train station is only about 100 meters away - otherwise this hotel is not for you. We arrived in the afternoon after a 7 hour train ride, waited for what I imagine is the owner (or a very arrogant receptionist) to answer 2 phone calls and...

If we'll start with the good things, the location is okay besides the train station and quite near the beach and the room we had was clean and looked okay. However, I feel like the cleaning-lady is the only professional worker there... The personal was rude and didn't speak English (although in the wall there is a sign "we speak...

Location of the Hotel is the only good thing in there, it is in front of the train station, only 100 meters away from the Tramway station and same for the main street in Nice where you can find shopping venues and cafes. The hotel itself smells bad, no air conditioning in the rooms, it is extremely hot in summer,...

The hotel walls were bright and colorful, the price was cheap, and it wasn't too bad of a walk to the beach and to the casino. When I stayed here, the basement of this hotel was an adult entertainment establishment which was kind of odd, but the hotel itself was a great value.

this hotel prides its self on being cheap and cheerful, you get what you pay for. i personally liked the different decorating and i would happily stay here again, the hotel is in a prime location and the staff were very nice and accommodating, this place is great if you dont expect a 5* ritz service.

One or two of our students were concerned re some of the comments on tripadvisor before the visit, but as is often the case these proved to be totally wrong. In my experience people who make such complaints and comments generally expect four star luxury at two star prices. We were a group of two staff and 18 students aged...

I stayed there with my boyfriend for a couple of days, while ineterrailing. It was a hotel with a good atmosphere, friendly employes and the hotel was really central, with a walking distance to the city center and train station.

“Hotel Interlaken was good I just didnt like the lasting impression from them when I asked for a late check out... I understand they have other guests arriving but it was only checking out at 12pm, If other hotels can do it why cant they?? room was a farely good size and well ket, some staff and the cleaners were lovely. O asked to leave my small hand bag and they seemed to have caused a small ruckus surely most hotels have a place to leave your bags behind ? anyway overall was okay/average.”
