Simple breakfast with a calm backyard. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped us rent ebikes, which I highly recommend. The room was Nice and clean, the wifi worked ok. Great location in the middle of Town, but not too noisy.

The first good point is the position, close to Sainte-Maxime harbour, inside the village center you can easily walk to the beach, to most of restaurant and other attraction. The building is quite modern with a great attention on details. Breakfast is various and rich in different tastes from salt to sweet food. Room are clean and with enough space...

We stayed here for three nights as part of an extensive motorcycle tour around France in September. One of the main reasons for picking the Matisse was the security of having a safe garage to keep the motorcycle in, the nominal charge was well worth the peace of mind. The reception is bright and airy and the staff pleasant and...

This is a delightful small hotel. Only about 25 rooms but very well situated in the centre of town, a lovely pool area with an unheated pool (OK in hot weather). We had room 209 which was one of two premier rooms. It was on a corner with views over the town and sea. Overall an excellent stay and if...

We had been elsewhere before arriving in sainte maxime and so on arrival at matisse it was very disappointing. Hotel receptionist was unfriendly and although the guests in front of us were shown straight to their room, we were told ours wasn't ready. We were early as it was half 12 but there was no attempt to be accommodating or...

The perfect little hotel in the perfect town. Loved every minute of it. Would come back again absolutely. Will recommend it gladly. Had no foreknowledge of this hotel, the brand or even Sainte Maxime. Took a chance and was profoundly happy to have found it.

I just spent 3 nights at the Matisse, it was the perfect place for a short visit to Sainte-Maxime. Location is brilliant, right in the the town, walk everywhere, you can even pop back to your room from the beach if you forget your hat. By the way, you need a hat, it's HOT. The hotel is small but beautifully...

Stayed here with my partner, I have stayed in Sainte Maxime before so know the area fairly well. I decided to book this after having walked past the hotel in the past and also reading reviews on trip advisor. First impressions, the hotel is situated right in the heart of the town, which is small and is nowhere near as...

Hotel in the centre of town, adjacent to the old quarter of Sainte Maxime which thrives with restaurants, shops and market place. Everything you could possibly need within walking distance of the hotel. Very well decorated, modern and refined furnishings set in nice warm colours. Warmly welcomed by the Hotel manager and the reception staff, formalities were brief and efficient....

A really good, reasonably priced hotel, in the centre of Sainte Maxime. 20 m to parking, 75 m to the sea-front and right round the corner of the old town with all it's cosy shopping and good restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel. Nice rooms (especially the corner rooms), great breakfast for being France, nice, service minded, people working there...

“This may sound like a criticism ... but it really is not. The shower was the smallest cutest shower I have ever seen. My wife and I laughed every time we took a shower. It is hard to explain but - it is almost worth staying at this hotel just for this remarkable shower. I would recommend that if you are quite large ... say over 250 pounds ... you might want to ask the hotel if all their showers are the same. If so ... you might want to find a hotel with bigger showers. Otherwise ... bon voyage.”
