The hotel is situated five minutes from the train station, the casino and in front of the local police station. The reception is staffed only during 7-12 and 17.00-20.00 so it is a good thing to call before if you are going to arrive outside these hours. The staff is polite and tries to be helpful but unfortunately does not speak English. The WiFi is good and you get a code to enter the hotel when the reception is closed. Breakfast is typical for a two star hotel, the cheese was surprisingly good. The rooms have seen better days, most probably a few decades ago. The carpet in the rooms needs to be changed ASAP. The linen and towels are clean and if you just need a bed for the night the price is ok.

I don't really have anything bad to say about thia place. The guy who owns the hotel was very nice and enjoyed practising his english. It was in a good location which was helpful throughout the day. It's also about 5 mins away, walking from the main train station. Only bad thing I can say is the shower head was pretty dodgy in our room. But it wouldnt stop me going there again.
All in all it was a good stay and i'd recommend staying here :)

Standard two star hotel which delivers exactly what it promises. Very friendly and helpful owner. Clean rooms and good central location. Keenly priced which definitely helps and smoothes over any niggles.

My fiance and I were travelling by car through France, Spain and Italy for 3 weeks. Although a great location in the centre of town, this hotel is very, very dilapidated. The bathroom had holes in the ceiling. The decor was EXTREMELY dated and worn. The bathroom door did not close. The hallway carpeting was ripped, dirty and it was just an overall unfortunate experience that I would caution anyone choosing this hotel. Even during the daytime hours, we were challenged to find someone working at the desk. The breakfast was ok but just ok.

We had heard good things about this establishment before we decided to book. The room we stayed in was very very small and had this horrible mildew smell. The shower leaked and the towels had rips. Since the hotel is not staffed, we didn't have anyone to speak to after 9 p.m. The next morning, even though we only inquired about availability of breakfast, the owner charged us for breakfast we didn't eat. We were tired, decided to check out and find another place.

Clean, cosy, quiet hotel, comfortable beds, clean towels, with a parking lot across the road, very near restaurants, shops, the historical centre and the train station. The staff were very helpful and friendly, even though we didn't speak the same lakguage.

Very Nice hotel, well situated in the center of town just next to the main traversing street. The room was nice enough although not perfectly clean. The staff is very nice and helpful and all this for a very nice price.

We booked this hotel last minute on a trip to Aix Les Bains this September. The price was very affordable and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is not a fancy hotel - a little tired, but it's clean, has a little bar for a drink at the end of the day and the location is close to the restaurants and shops in the city center. We had a very busy schedule and Willy at the front desk made everything very easy for us. He stored our bags until our room was ready so we could go off adventuring. Our French is very limited and it was nice to have staff that spoke English. The room was clean with a small balcony over a courtyard that provided a nice spot for a beverage before going out to dinner. Walls are a bit thin, but no one was noisy so it didn't bother us. There is a large parking lot across the street, but we had trouble finding a space on the weekend and had to park a block away.
