In its 2 star family category, this small City Pension near the train station practices soft catches, our room is spacious, bedding and pillows quality. The management is very attentive to our questions and its advice is invaluable to discover the city and its riches. Parking is a plus.

We have stayed there twice now and will do so again this coming year. The hotel is ideally situated for a stop over on our return to Britain from a skiing week in Les Arcs, French Alps. We set out on the road late Saturday afternoon after getting the final day skiing so we are tired and certainly don't want to drive all night. The distance to Aix is just right to arrive at the hotel and then go out for a meal.
It was the same hotel manager on reception this last year and the year before and he was a very helpful chap who clearly enjoyed conversing in English.
Comfortable hotel with all the expected facilities.
Aix has a lot of restaurants and cafes across the range of prices for an evening meal.

Last time, the town was full of people and most restaurants were full. We found a noodles bar near the hotel where the manager put up a table for us on the pavement and provided us with great noodles. In the morning, Sunday, most everywhere was closed but we found a welcoming coffee bar for breakfast.

Aix Les Bains is a very French town and well worth a walk around if you are only there for an evening and morning.

Thoroughly great finish to our annual ski week.
Thanks Hotel Annapolis

Excellent welcome from the managers!!! Unfailingly kind! Room very good value for money, very good bed, quiet room, and extremely clean bathroom! Breakfast with fresh breads and croissants of the day. Very close to the center, the market, the train station, very well located! Information to be obtained from the managers, who are at the top. Thanks to them... Accompanied by a young person (10 years old) for a first time at the hotel: he loved it!!! Highly recommended!

Fantastic stay at this hotel for the price. I was looking for a clean not too expensive place to stay for one night before leaving on a backpacking trip. This hotel was perfect for that purpose and well located next to the train station. The sheets were crisp and clean and the bathroom as well. The room was tiny (I had asked for a single) but it did have a small desk and I loved the balcony. Thanks for a great stay! I would definitely stay there again if I went back to Aix-les-Bains.

Pension very well located in Aix. Spacious family room, clean, good bedding! Clean bathroom also. We wanted to go to private hotels and not to a big chain. We were not disappointed, a warm welcome, friendly, advice. Breakfast is fresh, hearty. I recommend.

I arrived very late (and very tired) from Paris and was given a warm welcome. The outstanding thing about Hotel Annapolis is the delightful owner, who does everything to make guests feel happy and comfortable. From offering advice about things to see and do in the area to friendly chats at breakfast, A. was the perfect host.
The room was spacious and comfortable with older style furnishing, which I found charming, and a good sized bathroom. This is not luxury accommodation but more than satisfactory and extremely well maintained. The rooom had a television and a fan but there were no facilities to make tea/coffee, which was the only small thing I might have wanted to change.
There is no lift in the hotel. The public areas are welcoming and very attractively furnished.
Breakfast was simple but plentiful - croissants, rolls, coffee and juice.
The hotel is a 2-3 minutes walk to the train station and a few more minutes in the other direction takes you straight into the heart of Aix-les-Bains.
A very highly recommended place to stay in this beautiful town.

The lady working at this hotel is extremely friendly and goes beyond what I've seen in any hotels I have stayed in before, let alone a cheap 2 stars such as this one.
The hotel is an old building full of history and there is a picture of what it used to look like in 1885...what a change from traditional chains which all look the same.
I will definitely be back for the amazing staff and the great value.

We stayed in a double room on the 1st (American 2nd) floor at the Hotel Annapolis which has a door open to a roof top terrace, where you can see the Chat du Dent mountain in the background and the train station in the foreground. It was no frills, but it was large and a great place to see fireworks from the lake on a Saturday night. It was very clean and the hotel owner is gracious and friendly. For an extra 2 euros a day we had access to a small kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, cups, plates and a small table to eat on. The hotel gives you a free bus pass to take the bus in front of the train station to the Grand Porte, where there are beautiful esplanades, Saturday market, shaded beaches and a variety of restaurants. I love this lake and have returned to Aix les Bains many times for its scenery, its lovely cafes and parks. While there was no ac in our room, we had a fan which did the job well. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the reasonable price. I highly recommend this hotel.
