The Golden Tulip Aix Les Bains is often celebrated for its elegant ambiance and prime location, making it a hit with guests eager to explore local sights. While the rooms are generally recognized for their comfort and style, noise and maintenance issues have been mentioned. Cleanliness receives mixed reviews, with many praising it but some noting irregularities. The spa is a highlight, despite occasional overcrowding and upkeep concerns. Service quality varies, with commendations for friendliness contrasted by reports of inefficiency. Lastly, the hotel's value is questioned by guests who point out additional costs and underwhelming amenities.

In seminar at the Inn I confirm that you are in a quiet bubble. The rooms are well soundproofed, the wide walkways of the floors are hushed, the room (at least mine) overlooked the casino, very large, with a perfect shower room.
The service is responsive even after requesting an iron at midnight.
Flat for the parking which is a little narrow.
The gym is minimalist but does the job, despite a broken weight machine. You have 2 treadmills, 2 rowers, 2 bicycles and a space with free weights.
The pool area is also very nice.
I recommend

Being a child of the region, I am happy that my hometown goes above and beyond to make itself known! The Golden Tulip Hotel is no exception to the rule! Spacious and tasteful rooms (1950s / duck blue / rose gold piping) some give unlimited access to the spa from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.! The breakfast is REALLY complete, I've never seen that in France (there's even falafel, that's saying something!). Spa on 3 floors with everything you need (treatments, hammam, saunas, jacuzzi, swimming pool, sensory path...), the Alchimiste restaurant is very good value for money. Without forgetting the staff who took great care (special mention to Romain at reception, super pleasant and professional). In short, my wife and I recommend this place without hesitation!

We arrived late, about midnight. They had everything ready, we only signed the paper and went to the bedroom. There is a water fountain close to the lift in every floor where you can fill the water bottles they leave in the room.
The room is big, comfortable, with a great coffee machine. The bathroom mirror did not get blurry by the moisture which is really a 5-star hotel feature. There was also two ropes in the room and plenty of towels.
The spa was good, maybe a bit small, but open from 07:30 to 23:30 which is great to relax before or after a long day of work. Breakfast was good and fair.
If I could suggest something to improve would be the lightning in the bedroom. It is either way too much or too little.

Hello, we were not satisfied with the stay and it’s a shame because, we had a room that was located in front of the freight elevators, unacceptable noises from 22:00 until after midnight: like moving cart tables, we were supposed to be in a setting where we could relax but this was not the case, our neighbors of the room next to us had reported the same problem at the same time as us at the reception, no explanation from them despite having noticed that that evening there was a wedding in the hotel, we would have liked to have been informed in advance.
Moreover, it was impossible to book a table at the restaurant that evening so as customers we had priority knowing that there was an elderly person and a child.
Paid parking with an exorbitant price for guests when it is supposed to be free is the least it can do.
In the morning for breakfast the orange juice had turned, you had to see the customers’ faces, I had pointed it out to the person at the reception, I offered to taste it but she did nothing, she let all the customers help themselves without checking, an unacceptable and unprofessional attitude.
I will not set foot in this establishment again and I do not recommend it to anyone.
I also received a message from the management to ask me my opinion and my experience to take into account either saying the customer’s opinion I’m saying it’s good except that to my surprise the link was blocked intentionally, here’s what was marked: access to this questionnaire is not allowed, it proves the deliberate intention to hide these shortcomings.

Big disappointment for a high price because the services are not up to par.
The aquarelaxation area is undersized especially since the hammam was broken and so was the outdoor jacuzzi. Too many people welcomed, coming from outside and staying at the hotel, for a very small swimming pool and two jacuzzis which do not produce many bubbles. As for the water fun area offered to families with children, and which we were told was another working hammam, we popped in, noticed the noise there, and left.
Nauseous odors of backflow from pipes in our room, the window of which was open when we arrived (we understood why when we closed it). Which is a shame because the renovation of the room is very successful. The hallway water fountain did not provide sparkling water and the still water was lukewarm, not cool.
Finally, we had to queue for breakfast! When we arrived in the dedicated room, at 9 a.m., a time that had been imposed on us the day before by a ticket to present at the breakfast counter (when we arrived on Saturday we were asked what time we planned to have this meal the next day, when we responded between 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. probably, we were given a ticket indicating 9 a.m.), we had to wait 15 minutes before being able to sit down. I point out that the staff at the reception of the room were helpful and smiling, even though I was grumpy (for which I apologized to them).
At the Parenthese care area, the person who took care of me was pleasant and professional, unlike the two ladies at reception who were chatting with a third person when I arrived and didn't even raise their nose to tell me to say that they were going to take care of me. No more when I left, no questions about how it went, no smiles, no goodbyes... Frankly, I felt like I was there to pay their salary, not to be welcomed and pampered.
This hotel benefits from a 4-star rating which seems undeserved in the face of so many malfunctions, slight ones taken one by one, but which end up gaining importance and spoiling the stay, especially when it is a gift. 'birthday.

Very average experience for a four-night stay which did not allow us to benefit from the services of a 4* hotel. Busy week or not, if there are enough staff, the customer does not have to suffer from the situation.
A pleasant reception, which does its best to try to resolve the differences despite everything.
Unable to book a massage at the spa despite our advance phone calls. No beach reserved for guests, which does not correspond to the standard of a hotel of this category.
On our arrival, it was impossible to park in the underground garage despite our paid reservation. Exit door permanently open through which those who do not pay their parking tax enter too easily. Hence overcrowding and a blatant lack of security. At reception they explained to us that from next June these problems would be resolved by computerized management and a camera system. To have…
Another concern, breakfast. When you check in, you will be given a time card which guarantees you a place in the room at the chosen time. First disastrous day after 15 minutes of waiting in line we were asked to wait again. When we are finally seated, there are no cups or glasses but paper cups. The buffet is almost empty and it’s only a little after 9:15. Oh, oh, we are in a 4* hotel and there should be no rush hour preventing quality service. We leave the room and go to reception where a manager agrees to reimburse us for our breakfast, apologizing for the shortcomings and ensuring that our complaint is followed up. Having to live an experience outside is perhaps enriching, but if it is not our choice when booking, but suggested by the establishment, it becomes disconcerting.
The reaction apparently had an effect since our breakfasts went better the other mornings.
Another bad point is that the chairs, armchairs and benches outside are neither cleaned nor available in the morning despite the good weather and the heat.
We will remember the ideal location of the establishment, a pleasant room, good bedding but a bed that lacks width, the overall cleanliness, the kindness of the receptionists. But these few positive points are really not enough for us to recommend this hotel.
We stayed a week later for 7 days at the Jupiter Lisboa Hotel in Lisbon where we had a very, very nice 4* experience with the same services (much better) as those you offer to your guests. We kept thinking you might take inspiration from it.

I would like to express my deep disappointment and dissatisfaction regarding our recent stay at your establishment with my wife and daughter. We were faced with a serious hygiene problem, which revealed a flagrant lack of professionalism on the part of your team.

As soon as we noticed these problems, we quickly reported them to reception. The receptionist assured us that we would be contacted quickly to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, no one called us back, which caused great disappointment on our part.

I would like to point out that the room we occupied on Saturday cost us €220. For such a price, I have never witnessed such a lack of professionalism. The hygiene issues we encountered greatly tainted our experience and had a negative impact on our stay.

As a result, we are extremely disappointed and never plan to return to your establishment again. We sincerely hope that you will take our concerns seriously and that steps will be taken to improve the hygiene and professionalism of your team.

Family stay with child aged 1.5 years and a pregnant woman. The rooms are very pleasant, very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming, smiling and attentive to our little one. Efficient housekeeping service. The spa was impeccable in terms of hygiene with child access on one floor and adult only access on another, which is very appreciable. Restaurant (the alchemist) very good and excellent breakfast with quality products. It was perfect, we will come back, thank you again.

We stayed 3 days at the Golden Tulip.
Although it is advisable to take the hotel car park (€15 per day), it is just as complicated to park there (as it is outside), because guests are not respectful of others and park for their comfort on two spaces.
Breakfast is not up to a 4 star (industrial milk bread, the same for pancakes...), no proposals for an omelet, only scrambled eggs are offered.
Finally the cleanliness of the commons is improved, as well as that of the bedroom (is it necessary to keep the carpet under the bed if it is not cleaned?)
The services of the room are correct although they could be improved.
The presence of Soltys products in the top room on the other hand the mini bar is empty, the toilet switch is poorly fixed and the reel of paper misses to fall.
In summary: perfect spa, hotels closer to a 3 star.

The hotel is situated in a prime location, as it is 3 minutes walk to the train station, and just next to the casino and amphitheater, in addition that it is close to the main roads, shops and restaurants in the Centre of Aix Les-Bains. I stayed in a newly renovated suite in the 3rd floor, excellent bedding and pillows, the shower is so lovely and the room service was great. While I was visiting a friend in the town, he booked me a massage in the 1st day there, and that was really needed after my last night flight, an excellent massage which I highly recommend if you are in the area. The spa area is another fantastic place at floor -1, and you can tell that the owner of the hotel is very innovative and clever because I have never seen anything like it before, I had so much fun there, and I also did the zero gravity pool where you laydown on the extremely salty water full of different minerals and you just float for one hour, or even have a little nap if you wish, as the lady who took me there gave me explanation about every little detail in the pool room, thank you so much. The breakfast is excellent as you have what you need and more for the day ahead, so you have sections for cereal, yoghurt, fruit, juice, tea & coffee in addition to the eggs, sausage bacon etc. I was honored to meet the owner Mr. Jean Sebastien and his lovely wife, and congratulated both of them on the success of the hotel, and turned out to be that they have another hotel and restaurant, so it is a very well deserved success which came out of long experience and hard work. Thank you to all the staff working in the hotel and I wish you all the best in future.
