Hotel Thermal is located in the center of Aix-Les-Bains. Hotel needs refurbishment asap. Friendly people but old it is. Everything in this hotel has survived a generation.

We booked Hotel Thermal as we were travelling to the Musilac Music Festival and didn't have a lot of choice in the town.

Overall, I would say the hotel is quite strange and sort of reminded me of Fawlty Towers! There are weird cabinets in the reception selling beauty products and the decor is a real mish-mash of colours and patterns! The room itself was very basic but was very clean, however, it didn't seem good value for the £62 we paid.

On arrival I asked for an iron and staff seemed to look at me like I'd asked for something totally out of the ordinary. I was told there wasn't one and I said 'in the whole hotel?!' and the response was 'No', with no apology.

On the plus side, Aix Les Bain is a charming town and the hotel is very central. Also, it has parking on site at a cost of 4 Euros a night.

Very convenient if you are travelling down to the French Alps and need a stop-over for the night. Clean but certainly needs updating - looks as if nothing has changed since the 70s!

Food ok, but could be better considering it is France.

We stayed in Hotel Thermal for a week in April. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable and the bathroom was mouldy, and had bits crumbling off the corner of the bath. Internet was free as advertised but very sporadic, and food was basic. Staff were very friendly and helpful though!

Old fashoined Hotel and Thermal baths in a secluded country location. The hotel was once very grand and has since had better days, but the service is superb and the room (especially the larger ones) excellent and room for a family with sofa beds.

The food is plentiful and you can go B&B or HB. The setting is excellent and very restful, as well as allowing you to have the spa treatments if you wish.

There is internet access in the rooms and also in the main hall. There is on site pool in the sun all day, and a lake for boating - although was a bit green at the end of the summer

Overall a great place to unwind, not really suited to young couples but very unique. It is a bit like going back in time to the 20s or 50s and you can imagine rich amd famous having their treatment their. It has lost some of the grandeur, but the scale of the place is impressive and many of the old features remain yet modern faciliites are also in place.

Would we go back. Yes

Smack in the centre of Aix-les-Bains, a 10mn walk from the railway station, next to the Baths, this two-star hotel meets all conditions for having a pleasant stay: clean, spacious and high-ceilinged rooms; bathrooms with tub; comfortable lounge; a reasonably priced restaurant; breakfast buffet; nice, shaded garden; considerate, helpful staff.

A minor inconvenience: access to wifi a bit erratic depending on rooms.

Very old outdated hotel. Not hotels fault but ever so noisy outside groups of guys drunk shouting. Really needs updating badly. Bath so old it looks dirty. Beds very basic. Windows and frames falling apart as are shutters. Town itself very charming.

spent only one night in Aix-les-Bains.
the room wasn't very clean, the bed not so comfortable and the whole experience not so good.
I can't see a reason to spend more than half a day in Aix-les-Bains before going south to provence or north to annecy and the Alpes.

We are a young couple traveling with low budget, although the hotel is relatively cheap, in my opinion it doesn't worth the value for money.

The hotel looks and feels very outdated, I don't think it's stylish as people wrote before. It seems that the hotel hasn't seen renovation for ages and seen much better days.

Outside and inside of the hotel feels uncomfortable and a bit strange (especially at night).
The room is basic, the bathtub is tiny, the double bed is very small and the walls are very thin.

The staff was nice though.
Good Wi-fi connection.
It is close to the city center and because we arrived on a weekend there was free parking by the hotel.
