Normally stay at Mercure or Novotel, but this time I tried out Le Pre Carre. Not disappointed. Lovely room, nice sized balcony (51 - 5th floor) and a good sized bathroom. Breakfast room was adequate in size and the choice reflects what is normal in France. The staff were very friendly (I think this is a privately run hotel -... More

A simple non pretentious hotel very well located in the town. I stayed on business and it was exactly what was required. Room is simple and basic but a good strong shower and a comfortable bed ! Breakfast is again simple European although the boil your own eggs is an interesting experience ! Will stay again

This was the most costly hotel that we stayed in during our entire trip(a month in Switzerland and France) and was the most average. The room was clean and comfortable. It was air-conditioned. The size was very small, which even the desk clerk admitted was a misrepresentation of what appears on-line. However, we enjoyed a large balcony with a view... More

We booked three rooms one double and 2 budget. In booking.com site it says "all children are welcome" and nothing mentioned about what's the child's age limit is allowed to stay with their parent. My daughter is 4 years and they refused to let us in. Same thing happened to my sister but then after long long discussion they allowed... More

We stayed here for 1 night and found the staff very helpful and friendly. This was a last minute booking so we paid a lot less than the normal booking price. The room is nice, immaculately clean with nice toiletries. Staff were very happy for us to use the sauna and hot tub at 9pm and set it all up... More

My husband and I have just spent 2 nights in Annecy celebrating our wedding anniversary. Choose the Pre Carre on the basis of reviews and in the absence of any more convincing hotel in the centre of Annecy. It may be the best of a bad lot, impossible for me to say as this was our first trip to Annecy,... More

Small hotel with minimal service. But very comfortable and convenient. Also quiet. Breakfast was a little sparse but adequate. I'd stay here again. The air conditioning worked great unlike many European hotels. Located just outside of old city but very close to it. Liked that it was away from the hubbub.

The Pre Carre is located on a main but fairly quiet street on the edge of Annecy's attractive Old Town and also a short stroll to the lake. The hotel is modern inside with well furnished, fairly large rooms. It is, however, almost totally devoid of any character - partly due to the bland interior and partly due to the... More

The hotel is within walking distance to many activities; restaurants, boat tours on Lake Annecy. Beautiful area, clean and comfortable hotel. Would stay again. They have a nice variety for breakfast, too. Gorgeous views and lovely old section of town.

“The noise reduction in bedrooms is excellent, so front or back aren't any different. View from front is of a shopping street, with hills across the rooftops. At the back it's the rear of other flats and a car park. There are balconies at the rear - you get sun later in the day.”
