Visited the Coq de Bruyere for a skiing holiday (which I guess is the only reason to come here) as part of a big group. As a skiing hotel, it is pretty much fine, although no better than that. The communal rooms are a nice sized bar area with comfy sofas and table football, a nondescript restaurant, and a small...

Expectations for a chalet hotel staffed by enthusiastic but in-experienced Brits often more focused on skiing than 'customer service' should never be set high. BUT occasionally there are exceptions. I had read a number of middling to poor reviews but it is hard to see in what world those reviewers live. Take note of what you have paid and where...

The chalet hotel is a couple of minutes walk away from the main slopes by the Croisette. There are two ski shops on the same road, so you have a choice if you are hiring equipment. The hotel is somewhere I have stayed 8 times now. Whilst the hotel decor is getting out of date, the chalet staff from Skiworld...

Well first the positives: Great atmosphere Staff were brilliant Food very good and plentiful Now for the downsides.... Hotel generally shabby. The floor outside our room (No 58) felt as though it would collapse. The room itself was small and smelt awful, even with the gel air freshener that was behind the TV along with a dehumidifier. We found a...

I agree with previous reviews, great staff, excellent food, plenty of hot water, convenient for the slopes, shabby! However simple changes could make the hotel seem more 'up market'. It wouldn't take a lot of time to iron the tablecloths and clean the windows. Much of the crockery was chipped - not very hygienic!

The chalet hotel is superbly located, being only 100 metres from a ski in-ski out piste & 5 minutes walk from the centre of 1850. The staff are very professional & the hotel runs smoothly; nothing is too much trouble for them. Food & wine are good. The rooms are well-equipped & showers have lots of hot water. Boot &...

Stayed at this jewel of a hotel for a week at half term. Rooms - quite basic and on the small side. We were lucky and had a triple room for two of us, so plenty of room and massive wardrobe to hold all ski clothes and the cases. The twin rooms were very small and you could just about...

Just a short walk to the main lift base and a few yards the opposite direction to a piste that you can easily ski to a lift. Rooms a little small and our patio doors not really 'double glazed' and soundproof so we were kept awake by noisy passers by well into the early hours. Food and wine was good...

For the third year running we stayed at The Coq De Bruyere for our annual skiing holiday, there were 14 of us in our group this year and it was just as good as previous years. The management and staff tried hard to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The food and service were excellent,...

When we booked to stay at Coq de Bruyere I wasn't really sure what to expect as there are not that many reviews. I was worried for no reason. The hotel is in exceptionally good location, 3 mins walk to the slopes. The interior, although a bit tired, it's skiing holiday, we go there for skiing and mountains, not the...
