Good basic 2 star hotel. Reception staff very friendly & helpful. Room ok, although sloped away from the window. Breakfast basic but enjoyable. Hotel could do with some refurbishing - e.g. room numbers stuck to door frame with tape.

Dear Sir, We have noted your comment. At this point, we realize accessibility work for disabled people. That's why the room numbers are temporarily bonded with ribbon; they will be replaced in a few days by raised numbers for disabled people. The direction

This was a basic hotel, that's what you pay for. There is no air-conditioning but it is a very clean place, with pleasant, extremely helpful staff and a very nice breakfast too. It is very well located for the old town, near to lots of restaurants, bars and the main sights. It was also very quiet despite being so central....

We stayed 2 nights in this great little hotel close to the Soane river and centre of town. Only 5mins walk to rue Mercier where abundance of authentic Lyonnais restaurants and bars, high-end shopping, and historic sights with views overlooking the theatre (room 209). Spacious, clean, comfortable room with huge (French double) twin beds, good firm mattress, and bath/shower en-suite...

Some French hotels just get the job done and don't really inspire you to spend much time in your room, but this place was lovely! Great location, affordable, and lovely interiors. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Hotel du Theatre for 3 nights during a recent trip around France and would definitely recommend this boutique hotel if you're after somewhere simple but comfortable to stay in a great location. The hotel is in an old building and is very quaint with loads of character. All that "character" means that there's no elevator or...

Ideally located in a rather quiet but central area of Lyon this little hotel offers a very good price quality ratio. If you come by car an underground paying parking is available. It is also reachable by public transport. The old town center is a short walk away, around the corner are some of the best spots to visit and...

I had remembered passing the cute hotel front a few years earlier so was confused that the entry was on a different side of the block. It had lost some of its appeal as we made our way up the stairs to reception. Worse was the size of our double with the wc facing the bed and the rest of...

We had a lovely view of the theatre square from our room on the 4th floor and we were in a great location to take a walking tour of Lyon. It's also very conveniently located for shopping and restaurants. On the negative side if you have heavy suitcases there is no elevator and you must first walk up 2 flights...

I enjoyed this hotel. A bit off putting when you first approach it as it is down a fairly minor and shabby street. You have to go up three flights to get to reception but it is worth it. I had a view overlookiing the magnificent theatre square. The room I had was large and sparsely furnished and the bed...

The hotel has a very convenient location, walkable distance to the "Vieux Lyon", to the city shopping street (where I found iphone adaptor / charger) and a restaurants' street. We stayed in Lyon for overnight to meet friends there and went back to Paris. On my way back to Paris on TGV, I realized I forgot my new hoodie sweater...
