We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the College Hotel. The location, in the Vieux Lyon quarter, was good, with lots of choices of small restaurants, cafes and shops, and street life. It was easy to walk across the Saone to the other sections of the city. The room was basic but comfortable and the staff friendly. There are some...

My wife and I spent a few days in Lyon and were extremely pleased with the hotel. The location is fabulous as you are in the old Lyon and a few minutes of walk from every major place. We loved the breakfast with original local flavors. The staff was polite and very helping. I will definitely go back when in...

Our group stayed in College Hotel for our week visit to Lyon. To our delight, we discovered it was right on the edge of Vieux Lyon which enabled us to walk there for dinner or just visit. Our first impression was that the hotel was a bit odd, with its theme of an older generation elementary school. However, the rooms...

Visited thhis hotel 3 years ago: just renovated and super. Now it shows a lot of signs of degradation/sloppy maintenance/poor hygiene. Only 1 elevator that the personnel also uses: sometimes 5 minutes or more waiting. Location is ok though. Poor breakfast buffet.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Our room No.62 wax on the 6th floor (very efficient lift)and although on the small side, had a great view over the city. It was very clean , and light, with good quiet airconditioning. The bathroom had a tub with a hand held shower, and again was well lit, with plenty of shelf...

I recently stayed 2 nights here. Our room was quirky, very clean but tiny. I liked the vibe of this hotel but wouldn't stay here again. Whilst it is in the old city, the area would not be hard to access from hotels in the city area which offer bigger rooms for the same price. Eating out in this area...

We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The room was quite modern and had a great view of the city. Quite good value for money considering the prices of similar hotels in the area. Great location and friendly, helpful staff

We spent three nights in Lyon staying at the College Hotel and felt that it was a pleasant hotel situated in a convenient spot close to the old town but near enough to cross over the river to visit other areas. We did not have breakfast preferring to sample the culinary delights of the local cafes (which was cheaper). The...

This was a one night stopover for us but it was nice to have a hotel with a bit of character. The rooms are stark white but comfortable, free soft drinks in a fridge right outside our room was a nice touch (although we restricted our boys to one each otherwise they'd have emptied the fridge overnight!!). Rooms were interconnecting...

We wanted to stay around Vieux Lyon and found this place which is ideally situated at the very top end of the old town. The hotel is themed on a school/college, which works well except in the bedrooms themselves where the furniture was a bit basic - a locker for a wardrobe and a bare wooden desk. We had a...
