Very nice stay at Hotel Continental. My daughter and I were very well received. Location is great and service by the owners is 5 star. A very nice discovery. Hotel is nicely decorated by a local designer. A lot of attention by the owners make the place very charming and trendy.

It was a business stay for 3 days . The owner is welcoming, gently and helpful. The hotel is located in the oldest post office of Saint-Etienne, recently renewed. The rooms are small but very nice and clean, you can also take a cup of tea or cafe in the room because you have a little kettle with cups and... More

An old hotel, in fact the owners claim the oldest in St Etienne. Rooms are small but clean. There is no bar for an evening drink, but there is one next door. Breakfast plain but simple. The best assets of this character filled hotel however are the owners, nothing is too much trouble and they got out of their way... More

Perfect location, perfectly clean, well decorated, with features and little touches well thought and practical! The management welcoming and friendly are always there to make our lives easier with comfortable breakfast hours, quality products and service. A hotel that makes the best of its location, size and stars and takes its clients seriously with a smile!

This hotel is in a small side road near St Etienne's busy centre. The owners were welcoming and very helpful. Our room was well fitted and clean. The bed linen very good quality, but towels a little on the small side! Parking can be booked ahead of arrival and provides a secure space for a small fee. We had not... More

We stayed here for 3 days at the end of July. The proprietors are very kind and caring. The hotel is in a great location close to most everything. We took a cab from the train station and it was about 10€. We had breakfast each morning and enjoyed the buns, croissants and yogurt. The gentleman will make as much... More

The Hotel Continental is the oldest hotel in St. Etienne and offers great value for money. Very centrally located and very friendly service by the owners themselves. Parking in the courtyard available. Rooms are well designed with all ammenities. Our room (116) had a separate toilet, but was rather on the smallish side regarding storage space (esp if you stay... First of all many congratulations to Monsieur et Madame Vialeton for receiving the " Certificat d'Excellence 2014 " from Tripadvisor . Very well deserved. Brilliant little hotel in the centre of Saint-Etienne, immaculately clean, comfy bed with good bedding, nice bathroom and free wifi. The private parking is in the courtyard which you can access if you forgot something in... More

I decided to opt for this small business hotel based on the trip advisor reviews and stayed for 3 nights for a work trip. It is what the reviews say: a good, clean and friendly hotel. I had the "tout confort" room. Keep in mind that this is not for the luxury set, but it was definitely clean and big... More

You can fairly call the Continental a no-frills hotel, but it provides good basic comfort, a good bed and supportive pillows, is clean and very welcoming. It also boasts some original design. The owner - he seems to work 25 hour days - offers a friendly welcome and is happy to talk to guests about the town, its history and... More
