Can't recommend Abbaye De Talloires enough. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The location is out of this world! The hotel is magical, and the staff were so welcoming.
Breakfast was superb, and the cleanliness level was 10/10! The spa is quite nice as well.
Will definitely visit again. Well done!

Abbaye de Talloires is a truly enchanting hotel with a unique blend of history and the location in this natural beauty is outstanding!
A special thanks to the young lady who welcomed us, such an enthusiasm and a smile is to highlight. Thank you for the room, cozy, personal touch, with a balcony offering a view on the lake.
The direct access to the lake is one of the highlight of the hotel, no other hotel in Talloires grants it!
The downside of the experience are the prices of the restaurant, despite the quality, the view. The cost of the lunch menu was a bit of a letdown, More than 50 € for just a starter and a dessert! No other choice! I can understand premium rate for the quality and location, but...Which ended up that we took the breakfast in an another place, due to the previous day experience at the lunch.
Despite this, the stay was memorable and a special attention to the Front office team for their help and smiles.

In an establishment full of stories, you will have the opportunity to eat in an excellent restaurant with a cellar offering more than 1000 references. We had the opportunity to sleep in the prior's room. Completely restore. It allows you to imagine a few centuries ago In addition, the view of the lake looks like a painting. The staff is very friendly. The terrace allows for a drink when the weather is nice. Regarding the spa, that is the only regret. Even though this one is good, On the day of our visit, a smell was present at the Jacuzzi. I would also have liked a more complete herbal tea. Only two thermos were present with infusions. Free parking is available. It is almost indispensable, especially if you have suitcases. A very nice address to spend a relaxing stay

We arrived and hoped to have a nice stay and dinner with the beautiful view from the hotel on the lake. The room was noisy and the hotel only offered 1 (!) 3 course menu. Weasked if my wife could change the main course to the fish which was available on the 6 course menu, but the hotel refused. I have never seen a 4 star hotel refuse such a simple and justified request for no reason. For a 450 Euro per night stay you would expect the service level to be much higher than that. For a fully booked Saturday night in the holiday period the hotel looked dead. The bar area was empty. Having said that the staff was very polite and attentive, but you really need to improve.

The room was smaller than expected but the bed was very comfortable. The small balcony had a lovely outlook over the garden and lake. The grounds of the hotel were lovely, right on the lakefront. Even though we were hotel guests we felt pressured to purchase drinks from the hotel bar (outside) to simply sit in the grounds and enjoy the view. We found this upselling a bit intrusive rather than relaxing. Guests weren't allowed to eat anything in the grounds, even a small snack or piece of fruit, if it was purchased external to the hotel. We witnessed other guests loudly complaining about being reprimanded about this. Food at the hotel was expensive so we chose to dine elsewhere. The hotel building is a delight, being a converted abbey, and had loads of ambience. The room had a safe, kettle and mini fridge and beach towels (for lake swimming) were provided. Staff were friendly and helpful with luggage as there is no lift. Talloires itself is a beautifully scenic spot but the hotel was not a totally relaxing experience.

The Abbaye is a unique hotel in a stunning setting. We enjoyed our stay very much but there are definitely areas that need improvement. The concierge desk is disorganized and inconsistent in its helpfulness. There was NO WIFI in our room ( we stayed a week- so this was miserable) We had to go out into the hallway, quite a distance down from our room in order to send emails, and even out in the hallway, the reception was mediocre. The tv in our room did not work , or at least we could not figure out how to get it to work. The dinner in the courtyard was very good. One night we had room service and ordered the dinner that came in glass covered dishes. It was terrible. The food was cold, and mediocre. One dessert was the molten chocolate cake and it was so overcooked that it tasted like paper. The parking situation is a dent waiting to happen. The hotel is understaffed but those who work there were very nice, patient, and tried their best. The hotel could be a lot better and could charge a lot more if some of these problems could be addressed. it's a beautiful spot. The swimming is fabulous, and the location in Talloires is priceless. I would definitely go back, but would hope for at least some wifi in our room!

The place is majestic, calm and soothing, ideal for a stay as a couple or with friends to recharge their batteries. The welcome from the staff is very warm and caring. The breakfast is quality and the man in charge of the room is attentive, available and full of humor. The only downside is the size of the room which is really small, and concerns about humidity due to the absence of double glazing in the windows. This in no way tainted our stay which was superb.

The building is stunning and beautifully decorated with stylish furniture and some designer touches. The location is exceptional, on the edge of the lake, with a private pontoon and a large shaded terrace. The welcome and service are smiling and dedicated, the cuisine is remarkable and the food and wine pairing is daring and full of finesse. The leisure offer allows you to rent electric bikes on site, and thus to take a beautiful hike around Lake Annecy. Our stay at Talloires Abbey was an enchanted break!

We spent 3 wonderful nights at the Abbey for our honeymoon, the staff is adorable, the gourmet restaurant amazing. We advise to take the food and wine pairing so that Charlie the sommelier, amazes you with his fascinating explanations. Valentina our devoted good for the whole meal was of endless charm and kindness, and of course the meal was up to the frame and staff. The rooms are very quiet, not a noise woke us up in the morning. Beautiful views of the garden and lake, a hearty and delicious terrace breakfast. The fact that the abbey is at the end of the private road makes the place a haven of peace without any passage, a real pause in time, a most pleasant bracket. Thank you all and look forward to coming back soon.

We arrived early (12:30 p.m.) and the reception agent did everything to ensure we had a room right away. It was clean, spacious and functional. He also told us that the restaurant still had seats for lunch if we wanted (given the time I wouldn't have dared to ask). It was more than excellent. All the staff are really smiling. The spa is clean and really well thought out for a moment of pure relaxation, the showers were a discovery for us (very friendly). And the breakfast by the lake 🤩 was just beautifully excellent! The buffet contains a lot of homemade, organic (cookies, rice pudding, eggs,...) it was amazing! The lakefront pontoon is also a wonderful idea, it allows you to go into the water or relax right by the Pension!

Hello,
I would like to apolagize for this late answer. We have overseen your question, please excuse us.
Perhaps you have made your enquieries elsewhere already, Abbaye de Talloires is in fact not a typically family hotel, but we do welcome a lot of young children and we are very happy to have them with us.
We have a large garden, on the pontoon there is an access to the lake with very shallow water. Further there is a village beach with children facilities around 200m away from the hotel and 100 possibilities of diffrent activities that are appropriate for children in the nearby surroundings.
If you have special demands, please check with the reception directly.
In the restaurantour Head chef adapts the meals to the children, so in fact you have everything to spend nice family holiday in our house.
If we are too late for this year, we will be looking forward to greeting you at some other occasion.
Very best regards from sunny Talloires
