We had a great time at the restaurant of chef Jean Sulpice. Wonderful gastronomic journey in the heart of the Alps , where the Chef masterfully magnifies the products of the Alpine terroir. We chose the service in 8 courses. The wine list is well provided with very nice references in a bold presentation. We chose to be accompanied by the sommelier chef Maëva with the food and wine agreement. It was perfect, beautiful discoveries. The staff is very attentive and smiling. Here you are not à la carte, you are at the home of an artist who honors us with his talent and who has been able to enhance the products of his terroir. He is a lover of the Alps and his dishes are the perfect reflection

Our getaway to this establishment was simply magical. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism by a caring team. Friendly and knowledgeable staff surrounded us throughout our stay, ensuring that every moment was perfect.
The location of the inn is breathtaking, offering stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It is a true haven of peace which allows you to recharge your batteries and disconnect from the outside world.
The quality of service is unmatched, whether in the restaurant or other hostel facilities. The delicious dishes prepared by the chef were a treat for our taste buds.
We can't wait to come back to relive this magical interlude. In the meantime, a big thank you to the whole team for making our stay unforgettable.

The tradition of Father Bize is continued with modernity and excellence. Everything is perfect, the benevolence of the collaborators who work to make the stay perfect. The Chef is attentive to all customers so that everyone feels good. The table is a journey punctuated by refinement and discovery: tastes are present and dishes are in harmony with each other. The generosity of sauces and dishes enchant us. A big plus for a very varied and very affordable wine list. So a stage of happiness and discoveries in a beautiful setting for the taste buds as for the eyes.

The restaurants were full so we went to the brasserie bar with qq dishes available.... Different waitresses for taking orders, so we come to you twice to order.... exorbitant prices compared to the quantity but the quality is there, The waitresses were eager to finish their service because our plates were cleared when we were not finished... An establishment that wants to be high-level, it is certainly restaurant side but not at all brasserie side... In the end, we had a very light breakfast aperitif at the price of the gastro menu with a service not up to the establishment.... Nevertheless, the view is beautiful!!!!

Father Bise's Hostel is an extraordinary place, one where time stands still and, when it comes time to leave, one wishes one could pursue the moment infinitely. In a sublime setting, the Hostel du Père Bise is all you can look for from simple luxury, efficient class, present but discreet attention. Jean Sulpice, host of care, kindness and incredible proximity, leads his team with the energy he puts into sport and the values that go with it. The result is an incomparable atmosphere, mixing simplicity and excellence, where each staff is adorable, polite, present without being burdensome. Timeless space between lake and mountain, the place is beautiful, the establishment also, the two elements sublimating each other. The meal at the 1903 is perfect with a passionate master sommelier full of life, combining high-flying gastronomy and good humor... Enough to go to bed with a smile for a magic awakening in this place we will never forget.

A comfortable lakeside oasis with friendly staff. The gourmet restaurant is a destination in itself, but hotel is also a great point of departure for hiking and beach life. The spa offers a serene atmosphere, and the bar terrace is the place to be for cocktails at sunset. Highly recommended for a romantic get-away. We stayed in a Charme room with balcony and partial lake view. The only minor irritant was that breakfast was not included in the room price, and egg dishes came with additional price tags. Surely unnecessary for a hotel at this level.

In a heavenly setting away from the road, noise, you are welcomed and invited to settle almost feet in the water to enjoy the aperitif. The view of Lake Annecy is breathtaking. Then, once the aperitif is quietly over, we invite you to come to the terrace table under the trees (weather permitting) to taste the creations of the chef, quite incredible!! You want to eat the plate so much it is a pure treat!! 😂😂 The service is ensured perfectly by a staff with small onions for you and who knows how to be discreet. It was simply a true faultless. Total disconnection assured!! 🤩 We even stayed all afternoon so we felt great. We will return without hesitation. Vero and Roma.

My family and I arrived at Auberge du Père Bise on Sun, 7th Aug 2022-Tue, 9th Aug 2022. The valet brought our bags to our room and reception showed us arond. Our rooms had a big balcony with beautiful views and table and chairs, The beds were very comfy and the bathrooms had a very nice walk in shower. That night we had dinner at 1903, the service was very good and the food, even better. When we got back to our rooms my room had a disgusting sewage scent in our room so i opened the windows and eventually the stench dissipated. The next day we had breakfast at the hotels restaurant and were disappointed with the eggs and the buffet selection that morning, there hotel grounds seemed to be a haven for wasps and they went on our food and eventually stung me. Later we swam and paddle boarded on the lake, the views were stunning. We went to the spa and swam and relaxed with beautiful panoramic views of the lake. Then we went on a boat tour of lake annecy, It was surprising what they could squish into 1 hour but the tour was very enjoyable and informative, later we had dinner at Jean Sulpice. My family and I disliked the food there profusely, but i must admit that style of food was just not our favourite, and that everyone else in the restaurant seemed to enjoy it. Overall I had a very enjoyable stay in this fabulous location on the shores of Lake Annecy.

Jean Sulpice took over this institution (which had held 3 stars for many years until the 1980's) in 2014 or 2015 and has restored it to its old glory. The location on Lac d'Annecy is wonderful and the restaurant has been refurbished tastefully and luxuriously. There are two menu options of 6 and 8 courses available at lunch and dinner. The sourdough bread comes from a local baker, and the cumin butter was first rate. In our menu, the first starter of fera, the second starter of monkfish from the lake , and the agneau de lait main course stood out. The cheese course consisted of a small 'salad with Bleu de Termignon, a local Savoyard blue cheese , and a piece of this quite rare cheese.... We had a bottle of local Chignin Bergeron from Quénard, very pleasant. Service was efficient and relaxed, and Jean Sulpice was in the kitchen... une excellente table...

Dear Madam, dear Sir, Thank you for your warm comment. It is a great pleasure to read that you fully enjoyed your experience in our House. The Chef Jean Sulpice and his wife Magali took over the Auberge in November 2016, for the re-opening in May 2017 after several months of refurbishment. It is the best reward to have the feedback of the guests from the previous Auberge, and to read that we maintain the spirit of the Bise family. We are looking forward to welcoming you again by the Lake.

We spent 2 nights at the hotel. The room is more than ordinary and does not reach the level of a 5 star! The products in the bathroom are minimal..Avoid room 15 whose only view from the bed is the roofs of the building. It has an exterior color which opens onto a micro table and from there there is a lake view.. All lack of generosity and enchantment! Charging +8 euros for eggs in a 5-star hotel lacks elegance! There is no gym The SPA is undersized on weekends! 8 deckchairs only. No places to put bathrobes.. Big disappointment this weekend!
