Newly built, Avancher is a well thought out modern, purpose built hotel. Designed to cater for skiers who are not keen on roughing it but don’t want to sell their firstborn to afford the trip either!
Comfortable spacious and well planned rooms (excepting the light fitting over the coffee table which required me to wear my ski helmet whenever I passed near) No need to pack phone adapters as they are integrated into the power sockets.
A nice bar with a dart board for when you can’t be bothered to go out although it’s fair to say if it’s Apres you’re looking for Val is full of it!
The restaurant offers a choice of a la carte or a value set menu for a more limited choice. Both are very good.
The Boot room is well thought out with individual lockers for each room, complete with boot dryers. It’s worth noting it’s also on the ground floor and has door sensors so no stairs to climb or doors to wrestle with while carting your gear around. For security getting back in requires your room key.
The bus stops a short walk down the road and is just a stop or two away from wherever you want to be (you can walk to the centre of town in 5 minutes if you don’t have ski boots on)
All in all a perfect ski hotel at a good price given the quality. Highly recommended. In fact we’re booked in again for next season.

Absolutely fantastic hotel in a great location. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Even the owner stopped to say hello and advised us on a short local walking route to a gorgeous lake (great bang for your buck, only 15 mins drive and 1.5hrs total - just what we wanted). Easy checkin process, secure underground parking and clean, modern rooms. Dinner was fantastic, would definitely recommend. We were served by Oliver and he was brilliant in helping us make our menu choices and made us feel at home (not at all pretentious). Breakfast was yummy - good range of tea, coffee and juices, meats, yoghurts, bread / pastries, boiled and scrambled eggs. Small spa area will gorgeous jacuzzi overlooking the mountains, sauna and steam room.

The hotel is really nice and fairly central with respect to the city center.
The rooms are brand new and mix the typical mountain style with brand new features and pieces of furniture.
There are private lookers for each room, as also other additional services.
Last, we had a wonderful breakfast, with fresh Croissants and a wide range of choices.
All of this, sleeping in a Suite room, for 80€ per night.
Awesome stay

Rarely have we stayed in a place were everything felt right with a consistency in atmosphere, design and service. From the friendly staff that waited for us because we arrived late, to the beautiful rooms with exquisite finish, the storage room to store your luggage after checking out that is a complete locker room with lockers, showers and towels, the wellness that is tailored to the size of the hotel, great lobby, free Tesla destination charching etc.. try it, you will love it!
We stayed here with 2 boys 9 and 12

About
Description
"The Avancher spirit remains in a brand new setting. Built more than 60 years ago, the Avancher Hotel has completely been rebuilt during Summer 2017. Frédéric Monneret and his team have managed to reconcile the More warm and friendly atmosphere of this historic cottage with the comfort of a hotel of today. The 37 rooms from 24 to 61 m² have got all the equipment for a cozy stay: king size bed, large flat screen TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, bath, refrigerator, safe, kettle... Nothing has been forgotten, a renowned restaurant where we kept the same recipe: a gourmet cuisine with fresh and local products. A bar with two atmospheres: wine bar on one side, lounge and fireplace on the other side. A spa with a Jacuzzi, 2 Saunas, a Hammam and a massage room, all with a breathtaking view of the mythical Bellevarde Olympic face, a children's playroom, a covered parking area with a Tesla charger located in the basement of the hotel. A 5 minutes’ walk from the center of the resort and 50 m from the free bus stop, you can enjoy the animations of the resort without undergoing its noise. In addition, you will return directly skis to the feet to the hotel. Finally, Frédéric and his team know how to make your life easier: they will organize your transfers or ski passes bookings. " Less
