Stopped here for a night, location was great very central and free parking just around the corner. Hotel asked for full payment upon arrival which was unusual not sure if this is because people leave once they have smelt the rooms. Old building which has new bathrooms but definitely has some issues.
We have booked a room for us and our 2 dogs for one night - on our way south. The welcome was nice, the room good enough (comfy beds, good bathroom, we did not like the carpets, especially as we had the dogs with us). We had a nice dinner in the restaurant in the same building (which does not belong to the hotel, I think), good sleep despite the busy street, and could park the car (with most of our luggage inside) in the hotel parking.
The lady at reception was really lovely! It was pouring outside and she offered us umbrellas, although it was already too late at that stage, we were soaked, but after we got up to the room - rather spacious, perhaps a little dingy, but it had everything we needed. Parking was available for a small fee. After a relatively good shower we headed out and the lady at reception gave us a map and pointed out popular restaurants. Check out was smooth. It was fine for a night.
We were on a cycle tour & met the owner by accident in the Tourist Office during a thunderstorm !!. He very kindly let us book in at 11.30am ( !!) & sit out the rain & thunder for the day, providing us with secure bike storage. He was very helpful. The hotel was a bit tatty around the edges with no air conditioning but a fan in the room. It was a small room that looked out onto the rear of other buildings. The room was clean & fairly comfortable but not quite the 2* Logis standard that we had expected.
Friendly welcome. A pleasant small two star hotel close to the centre with a restaurant next door which belongs to the hotel. Breakfast is the usual buffet breakfast. We stayed half board and our menu de jour meal was with two choices for each of three courses. The quality of the food was excellent and we very much enjoyed our meal. Our room on the first floor was a family room. It was fairly typical of a two star hotel with an en suite bathroom. It is an ideal hotel for a one or two night stay. There is a secure car park around the corner belonging to the hotel which is charged at €6 per night.
