We stayed here while visiting a friend in Chalon. The rooms are basic, but clean, a comfortable bed, perfectly decent A/C, good value breakfast and with good wifi connection. The staff are helpful. Located within a short walk of several good value restaurants.

The staff at the hotel were more than accommodating. When needed they easily spoke English. Rooms were comfortable with excellent beds and linens. And on a Saturday one can walk out the door into a typical French market.

The stay was not very pleasant unfortunately, overpriced very basic and air conditioning that was not up to the job. the town was nice but the hotel was disappointing. Staff were helpful but check in was difficult and the whole key process was a shambles.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but the rooms were run down. It seemed relatively clean, but the carpet didn't inspire confidence. And while the AC worked, it smelled so bad we wound up turning it off. It was also quite loud, though that helped muffle the snoring we could hear easily from next door. The hotel was conveniently located,...

The hotel is not as grand but still fine and comfortable. Little bit worn out, compensated by a friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast, large clean rooms. No lift, though. Centrally locsted. Parking on the square in front, paid through the day, free overnight.

However it's let down from the start by its manager, who was really unhelpful I arrived at 10am with an early check booked to be told to return at 2pm. I was I Vienne for work and had traveled all night to get there. I was...

We stayed here for two nights. Really close to train station and sites. A beautiful city. The staff were super-friendly. They let us leave our luggage and gave us a good overview of the city with a map.

We purposely seek out older hotels as we like the ambiance and character. This hotel was built in the 18th century as a postal inn. It's a bit tired. The rooms are very basic; the price is appropriate for what you get.

Very friendly, helpful staff. We had a nice 2-bed family room with effective air-con. Very good buffet breakfast. Despite being on a busy central street it was very quiet - they set up the Saturday market outside without us being disturbed!
