We went with a colleague to have a quick lunch. Waitress was extremely rude, cafe was empty ( I guess there are reasons to that). Food was at a very average quality. If you work in service you need to be nicer to people at least. No place to come back for sure.

My family recently stayed in the four person apartment of Hotel-Cafe Lohr and we were very happy with the place. We stayed in the building beside the building were breakfast is and just around the corner from the Cafe on the main street. The location is excellent, 5 minute walk from the center of town and the Lichtentaler Allee park...

I learnt when I arrived that this hotel has different grounds and we were located to the hotel on top of cafe Löhr. The room had a beautiful view of the square and was quite spacious and very clean. The bathroom was very large and had a heater which was so nice due to the very cold weather. The breakfast...

I appreciate that this is an expensive town and the Hotel Lohr is reasonably priced in a great position, but for me the downsides outweighed the positives. The room was clean, although it wasn't made up on one day which meant I had to go to the reception desk in the evening to ask for toilet paper. The bed was...

Dear guest, us it is sorry that you are not filled at us. However, the fact is, if the guest is during the day into the roomor or attached one sign "do not disturb", the room will not cleaned. For the bad mood of our breakfast staff I can only apologize. In bathroom you can find a switch for heating

great location, easy to visit the main local attractions. Our room was not in the main hotel where the restaurant was located. We were in a separate building around the corner. If you have heavy bags and are unable to life them this is not a good location. Steep stairs with no elevator. The roads are very average at best...

Dear guest, on our website is clearly described in which buildings which room you could select. Such example, each guest book for a suitable room. Parking in the garage costs 17 EURO per day. But with our parking card it costs only 10 Eur. The parking card should be ordered ahead.

Not what you see in the photo. The cafe and hotel are not co-located. Recently remodeled. Clean without charm. Noisy if the windows are open. Probably moderately priced for the area at 98 Euros, but will not accept credit cards. Okay basic breakfast included. Parking was a hassle. First told to park in a space that we fortunately were warned...

Dear guest, on our website and on BOOKING.com clearly described which room to which building belongs (hotel consists of 4 buildings). Of course, each room type has not only own room description, but also a pair of own photos. You have to read everything carefully and watch, bevore book the room. When paying by credit card and sum under 150...

My first trip to Baden-Baden and what a nice surprise this hotel was. You must realize there will be stairs. And this hotel was no exception but the service and the beautiful room made me forgive the fact that there is no elevator. The room was newly renovated, I believe and very attractive. A nice view, a very lovely park...

Baden-Baden has been a special destination for many years and Hotel Lohr always attracted us due to its charming, welcoming nature...and this visit was no exception. We arrived in a bitter cold November evening and were greeted with a smile, hot tea and biscuits. So nice after a long journey, but the warm hospitality didn't stop there. The entire management...

Cafe - restaurant - hotel in the centre of Baden-Baden. Beautiful location in front of the fountains and the church. We stayed in a room above the cafe/restaurant. There are parking spaces for motorbikes in front of the hotel. The room was large, the bed was good, the bathroom was small and somewhat outdated. Breakfast was basic but fine.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated in the center of Baden-Baden is a historical building with an old hospitality tradition. The Hotel Loehr is located in the historic centre of Baden-Baden, at Augustaplatz opposite to the Kongresshaus (Congress Centre). The Kurhaus with its legendary Casino, the 350 year old Lichtentaler Allee and the pedestrian shopping area are only a few steps away from the hotel. The thermal baths area - the modern spa complex "Caracalla Thermen", and the Roman-Irish bath "Friedrichsbad" are also just a few minutes' walk away. Our hotel consists of four buildings, which are about 50 meters apart from each other. A significant modernisation and renovation of the buildings took place in 2015. Today all rooms are equipped with a shower, a toilet, a minibar, a safe, a hairdryer and satellite TV (with German, French, English, Russian, Italian and other international channels). Wi-Fi in the rooms and in the Cafe is free for our guests. The reception and the breakfast room are provided in the main building. Also a part of the hotel complex is a Bistro-Cafe, which is often frequented by locals. The Bistro-Cafe -Restaurant has a beautiful gallery with view over the Lichtentaler Alee, Augusta place and the Congress Centre. The Gallery is ideal for meetings, weddings, birthdays, companies - and Christmas parties. In the context, you are expected a more-dimensional, international cuisine with Italian and Russian influence. ... more   less
