We spent 2 nights in this hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is ok, there are free parking places in front of the house. The breakfast was good. The hotel was clean and comfortable. There is supermarket in the near. To reach the downtown is about 10 min by car.

Very modern hotel, no complaints about the facilities. The staff however felt untrained and cold. They were rude and uninterested in helping us. Bar overpriced, 1 coffee from a cheap automatic machine was 2.90 euros. Even though the room was very nice but could not recommend this hotel due to the awful staff.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast buffet was big, reasonably priced and everything I tried was very good. The whole hotel is very new, so everything looks very nice, including the room. It was a modern design and was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was roomy with a big shower. The room was facing a road, but yet it was quiet. There was air-conditioning that worked really well. Public transport towards the city centre and central train station only a short walk away.
I will put this down to the hotel being very new, but when we realised that the hairdryer was not working, the staff was not able to replace it, as no back-up was available and all the other rooms were fully booked and thus couldn't take one from another room. Also, at two different occassions, staff members even though very willing to help, pointed us towards the wrong direction when we were looking for the stairs one time the lifts were very busy. These things are minor, and I think once the hotel has been open for a little while longer, all of this will be sorted.

I have been to this hotel for a business trip. The hotel room was booked for 4 nights. However, due to business changes I had to cancel 2 nights. Cancellation worked out fairly well. But then I needed a new invoice for taxation reason. After many calls and another week in this hotel spending every morning and evening asking for a new invoice I still have nothing. Either the amount is incorrect or the billing address is the wrong one. And best of all after raising my voice a little bit on day 7 trying still to get the right invoice the staff is telling me that if I would be more polite I would get a new invoice. Unbelievable! This has been the last time in this hotel and I would not recommend this hotel to business people who rely on correct invoices in order to get reimbursed. Apart from that the hotel room is clean. Breakfast ok, nothing special.

The A/C has been broken since I got here 3 days ago and the room is stuffy and hot. I've overhead other guests complain of this as well. But now this happened: I came back to my from breakfast this morning, where I had left the do not disturb sign on the door, to find that someone had entered my room and locked the window (which I had signed a waiver to have unlocked the day before due to the broken A/C). Another guest told me that "two men" had opened her door while she was IN THE SHOWER to evict her 3 hours before checkout! What kind of criminal behavior is this??? I'm going through my bags to make sure everything is still there!! Ended up demanding and receiving a refund for my the rest of my booking, and 20% off the nights I stayed so far, no cancellation fee. The manager was quite professional and nice about it, I wish I could say the same for the rest of my experience. And the lady at the reception? I'm pretty sure she is the same one every other review talks about. She doesn't mind laughing to your face and seems to only be concerned with when her next smoke break is. Avoid this place like the plague. I immediately moved next door to the Hampton Inn by Hilton for about 20 euro more. So far there is no comparison.

Room was unbearably hot at night; we were miserable. While we were out of the room during the day, we left a key to keep it running and it was fine. At ~2100, the AC system is automatically programmed to allow less air and by midnight, it was unbearable. We had to sleep with a wide open window, grateful for the occasional puff of cool air, but still not sleeping because of the noise in the street of people hanging out, loudly talking, and sirens from emergency vehicles. By the time that all died down, we could sleep for a few hours-albeit on very flat pillows-until the birds started chirping loudly at daybreak.
It's a shame to have to leave this review but we don't want anyone to suffer as we did. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the hotel was clean, we did not have the breakfast but the coffee at the desk was very good.

On arrival told that no check in until 3 ..I arrived at 2.30 and Hotel wasn't even busy. The website states complimentary Breakfast but when you check in they ask for 9 Euros . The complimentary Breakfast is actually 1 croissant and a cup of cheap coffee. The free outdoor parking is on a bit of waste ground on a building site or try and get parked in the street. The hotel is in a business park which is still under construction .Avoid any rooms facing the entrance as The entrance to the Hampton and Super 8 are next to each other and there is noise all night long. The reception staff are not overly friendly and could not give much information on how to get to the Town centre apart from take a taxi or walk. The taxi fare is 12 Euros to the centre..if you walk fast it's 25 minutes. Could not find any bus info. The rooms are modern and clean with a smart TV but NO safe in the room yet advertised as having one...My opinion pay the extra and look for something closer to town. With properly trained staff and friendlier.

Pros: you don't have to book the undergrounded parking, cause you have a lot of free spaces outside, if it is on the other gravel side or between the houses. Very freshmind room, but very cozy. Great Wi-Fi, nice lighting and wonderful beds. In comparison to other hotels like this one, the breakfast is really rich, don't hesitate and book one. Not far away, near the tankstation across the road, you have a nice cafe-restaurant.
Cons: the concierge on the check-in had to be more friendly, giving a smile making your guests smile too... We got a room with two twin beds, which were pushed to each other, someone won't like it. You have a big glass wall between the room and the the bath, we had no problems with it, but maybe someone will.

It was 9pm and at the bill board was the information that they made pizza until 10pm. When i asked for a pizza i received an unfriendly answer in german. Echt jetzt! (Really?) This is not acceptable for a paying customer.

This was a Performing arts tour of the area and the accommodation was organised by the local town twinning association from Waldkirch. The hotel is quite new and is bright and light and clean. The staff were very organised and very patient having such a large group depend on them, and the students were in their rooms quite quickly after we arrived. Breakfast had a wide range of foods which is always good when travelling with fussy kids! Again the restaurant was very clean and bright and the staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms are quite small but clean and bright and very suitable for our needs. The whole experience was very good and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
