We stayed at the apartment which happens to be on the second floor of a building adjacent to the main hotel building and does not have any elevators since it is in an old building. So not suitable if you have lots of luggage or issues with climbing stairs. The apartment bed is really narrow and not comfortable - we...

City Center. Small hotel with first class small European style rooms. Excellent room furnishings and updated fixtures. Excellent, friendly and knowledgeable multilingual staff - essentially excellent concierge - tips on shopping, dinning & things to see. Secure parking in their indoor garage near entrance. Their restaurant, Hotel Oberkirch Weinstuben which faces the cathedral square, serves as their breakfast room with...

Old, confusing maze of rooms, extremely difficult to find. We entered off an old dirty alleyway . Not sure why this place has a 4 star rating. Been in Germany for 2 weeks and traveling all over. Getting around Munich was easier. Try a hotel more centrally located.

Super small hotel just off the main cathedral square. I liked everything about this place, friendly efficient staff, small but well designed room, very clean, good shower, garage parking right next door, very good breakfast. The hotel restaurant on the square itself is excellent. The bells from the cathedral are spectacular and beautiful, but very loud - I live next...

We stayed here as part of a four-week tour of Europe and decided, as this would be for two nights, we would upgrade to a junior suite - it was fabulous with the main bedroom, beautifully clean and furnished, with two 'ante' rooms, one of which was a small sitting/dressing room with complimentary fruit and water, the other a chaise...

Hotel Oberkirch is located directly in Freiburg's Cathedral Square or Münsterplatz and only a short walk from the main railway station. Its beautiful architectural heritage spans back to the middle of the 18th century, however the rooms have been tastefully renovated and modernised. Freiburg is a beautiful city full of history, historic architecture and culture. The Black Forest is close...

We stayed here for three nights and were very impressed with its standard. It is in two parts; the part actually on the Münsterplatz has a few rooms and the dining room and Weinstube. The main hotel reception and the reminder of the rooms is to the rear on Schusterstraße, which is where our rooms were. The rooms were very...

Everything about this hotel is good/excellent, but if the weather is warm you will need windows open and then, if you are a light sleeper, you may be kept awake by the cathedral bells. The hotel provides ear plugs and in room fans, but no air conditioning. Despite this, I will return.

We stayed in the second part of the hotel behind the main square. Our room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Nicely renovated bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast is served in the main building of the hotel in there restaurant and is very good. Eggs can be ordered and are freshly made. We also had dinner in the outdoor...

The hotel is right in the middle of town on the cathedral square. It's an easy walk from the station, in a great location, with the city bustling all around you. It's well worth opting for a room overlooking the cathedral, and the morning markets. Yes, the bells do chime, but we manged to sleep with the windows shut. The...
