Generally Im a big fan of this Hotel, we stay here at least every 2 months on our trips to Germany.
We love the location and quietness and the "secure parking", but the last few stays its becoming obvious that there are many things that arent tolerable.
We have now stayed in about 10 different rooms of all categories and usually the Price is quite good and fair, however on out last visit we stayed in the Newly Renovated rooms over the Italian restaurant and it was a nightmare. The bathroom vent was on all night (no off switch), its located right above the restaurant and people get quite loud outside, the bathroom vent was covered in dust and we were still charged the same price as a standard double room in the main building.
The staff at reception seem helpless and never provide any helpful feedback, apart from the lovely blonde woman, I think her name is Mrs Berishka.
Last year our car got damaged in the Hotels car garage and the Hotel offered no help with the damage and just said its our own responisbilities but happily took payment for the space.
I also had a bad experience in the Spa last December (30.12) as the room was right on the road side and firworks were going off non stop, the drain pipe runs through the room and the massage therapist asked me how I wanted the massage done(isnt she the professional?), I eventually left the massage early as the therapist left me to relax (with all the noise, im not exagerating) and she didnt even notice I left, they still made me pay half! That same stay our room smelt of smoke and when mentioned to the Rezeptionsleiter, he said that the cleaning lady smoked herself so probably cant smell when someone has smoked in the rooms.

Masks are compulsary on the premises but not for wedding parties... so theres no sense in that and many still walk into the breakfast room without one on and no one says anything.
The Pool is nice and during Pandemic only 8 people are allowed at the same time, again no one checks this and the guests dont respect it either.
The new restaurants are an added bonus, but usually fully booked so dont expect spontaneous dining unless its summer. On 2 occasions we were told that if we sit outside we can expect to be forgotten about as people dont usually sit outside.

The only consistent nice and professional staff is the breakfast people!
We will probably continue to visit because our son feels like home here but we are looking at many different Hotels in the surroundings (like the Therme Dorint) and the prices are nearly the same and have better premises.

Also, if you stay in the suites on the Pool side, be aware that if you use the bathroom everyone can look into you room and see what youre doing so curtains need to stay closed.

The hotel has a wonderful setting, with excellent restaurant and a superb breakfast. The waiting staff are lovely and friendly. However we were most disappointed with our small and quite stuffy room, situated on the ground floor overlooking a busy and quite noisy road where we needed to have the window open to get any air. I was doubly disappointed as we had stayed in a room on the same floor in February, which was similarly unappealing, and my husband who had been previously to vet the hotel rooms, assured me that on your return we were likely to have a better room. I would encourage anyone booking to make sure that they are not in the ground floor (odd number) rooms

This hotel has a beautiful setting with a nice outdoor pool. The rooms are well maintained but have the appearance of 15 - 20 years old. The lighting is very poor and the bathrooms dated. The air-conditioning is not effective. There are several restaurants on site - we found the regional restaurant was expensive and was the only option on a Sunday evening. Breakfast ran until 10:30, but the choice became increasingly limited after 9:00 and was not refilled.

This hotel is overselling it's offer quite a bit. The hotel rooms are in two annex buildings, but not really in a "Schloss". Even the "Schloss" itself is more of a courtyard.
Even leaving this aside unfortunately our stay was somewhat of a disappointment. The service was sub-par - especially the reception was less than helpful and not friendly at all. Room service did not realize that the soap dispensers in our room were empty over several days and when we first took over our room there was still hair in the shower. Overall all these things might seem small, but it made it difficult to feel welcome and "at home" at this hotel.
It might be a great business hotel, but for a vacation I would not recommend it.

I went for two days in the hotel. There is a fantastic atmosphere in the hotel. Really nice and clean room. Absolute quiet in the night. The stuff is really friendly and helpful.

The breakfast is fantastic with a lot of options. For me is could be a hotel also for holidays. I really enjoyed the time in the hotel.

Great hotel, less than 5 kms from the E35 Karlsruhe (D) to Basel (CH). Great service, clean rooms and everything you would need for a peaceful and quite stay. Big variety for breakfast and very nice terrace and good bar called Limoncello.

This is a delightful hotel with great facilities. this includes an outdoor pool, spa room, sauna and gym. The hotel also has a series of restaurants and bars built around a courtyard which acts as the village square. The staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms and hotel clean and the food is good.

We are considering coming back for a winter break.

Had an issue on arrival with my credit cards; lost them all. Nevertheless the hotel was understanding of the issue and offered me the room. Since the hotel was almost fully reserved by our company, this maybe was in favor of that decision. Nevertheless, all could be arranged fortunately.

About the hotel itself. I had been there before, a lot seemed renovated. Since the complex is made out of various buildings, the rooms are different. I was in an older building, but the room was really nice. Even had a sauna in the room.

The bed was amazing, the bathroom increíble (incl. the sauna). The room was clean, big, plenty of storage. Internet through the whole complex without any issue, fast and stable.

The 3 restaurants are superb! Amazing quality of food. I tried the Italian and the German restaurant.

If the weather is nice there is a lot of room in the outside of the hotel. With lots of seats and tables. Really nice. Gym and swimming pool as well as a spa is all available.

Absolutely recommend this great place with its great personal.

Btw if you like running, running along the whine fields in Munzingen is both fun and challenging, due to the hills!

Stylish, comfortable and efficient. Big but still charming. Good facilties ensure a relaxed stay. Nice little village near Freiburg. Rooms clean and OK but some are reaching the point of renovation, especially when it concerns the bathroom. Still, all in all a place to come to back to.

We stayed there for one night, very clean, great breakfast, nice staff. Pool and sauna area are real highlights, heated pool is open all year round. They have 3 restaurants, we tried the Badisher one, good food and professional staff. We had a great stay there, good value for a price we paid for night.
